I want to see this too. Of course, she'll be upset initially and I think Akash will stand by her (and win brownie points with Raghav for it). I also want her to realize that somehow this does lead back to Raghav but that Pallavi isn't to blame. I am curious to see if they remain friends after all this.

It's the latter... she needs to fight for her own happiness one day, because if she doesn't no one will. Raghav will make her realize that he, and they, are worth fighting for. Going back to Mandaar or not should be a decision she takes from the heart and not because of social pressures. Even though Ayi Baba don't want her to live like a widow (whatever that means), I feel Rambo sees her as his son, as a replacement for Mandaar to some extent. When that connection is broke and Pallavi, an orphan who found parents in the Deshmukhs, has to choose to fly away, can she do it?

Often we feel that women in uneducated or old-fashioned families suffer mentally and even physically when they become widowed, but even in so called progressive families there are some unspoken notions of where the boundaries are with widows. These don't get highlighted or spoken of, but often sit under the surface. I have a feeling this will happen with Pallavi, twice. First when she gets married to Raghav and after a period of fights starts to live a 'normal' life with him, contrary to the Deshmukhs' view that she was forced into it so she will have a miserable married life and cannot enjoy it or Raghav. Second, when Mandaar comes back and her marriage with Raghav is null and void, then to them the logical next step is for her to come back because she 'should be glad she wasn't a widow after all'.

I'm just speculating here, of course.

Totally agree. I have nothing against the new actress but she doesn't cut it for me. Amma is the most important person in Raghav's life so I am struggling to accept this sub-par portrayal. I really hope they bring the previous actress back or find someone who has that firepower. I could feel Raghav's pain in the confrontation scene with his mother but I just couldn't connect with them as mother-son.

I too was keeping my fingers crossed for new amma knowing she can act well, but first impression isn't good 😒 She feels like a dukhi bechari type aurat to me, not at all like the fiery amma of Raghav Rao 😒 Hopefully she warms up to the role or we get a better casting 🤞🏼 This is an important character so I hope they won't make us compromise here...

This is one of the tracks I'm most looking forward to. In many ways, Nikhil is as protective about Pallavi as Raghav is about Keerti, but look at the difference in approach!

What added to his anger was that not only did his plan to help Keerti backfire, but both Amma and she took Pallavi's side in all this. He has been trying for years to get closer to them but the way he sees it, kal ki aayi Pallavi is already in their good books and they care for her! Of course, he was acting out.

On the other hand, he will make Pallu understand that bakri ko bhi halal karne se pehle uska khyaal rakhte hai, does not mean bakri se pyaar hota hai. Deshmukhs do behave like that sometimes. When convienent, pyaar; when convient, tu bekaar. She should not be compromising her own self in the bargain, when this shop may not be her true calling. Hope he takes her on a path of self-realisation too.
