Raghav was so cute today.. If he thinks amma and keerti are the family drama, well god save him from D fam when he becomes their jamai or whatever weird relationship Pal has with D fam.

Yep, it's not even the tip of the iceberg. He will take Amma's scolding and slaps over the D fam any day.

Dekha nahi how he was looking at Pallu at her dukaan mesmerised for idk 15-20 seconds?

It is not just due to Saree ka Dukaan challenge, in general he likes someone who dresses like his Amma coz Pallu's pallu gives him a sense of that lost comfort of family, if that makes sense.

This is it! He likes her homeliness, even though he sarcastically told her that women can't do business and should stay at home. It's that sense of family that as a kindred soul he recognizes but can't articulate. In fact, both Farhad and he knew from day one that she wasn't like other women.

By repeating that, he is giving himself tasalli that there CANNOT be anything between them. He is trying to keep his distance, he does not want his heart to be hurt again. As simple as that. Yes, it bothers him when others try to imply that, but it is because somewhere he knows that if he gives a chance, he will be pulled into her void.

Well he was hurt by a girl, so I guess he wants to stay away from romantic involvement. The other girls he parties with, he knows it's temporary, not serious so he's ok with. Pallavi is not at all like that and he feels threatened that his walls may be torn down at some point. Also, she doesn't fit his generic classification of women so she's intriguing, but the moment she makes a mistake (or he thinks she does), he is quick to bundle her in with the rest and justify punishing her.

At the expense of sounding like I am defending him, he has a different perspective on duniyadaari, which is not completely wrong, but simply subject to the context.

I laughed when his Amma said that. He is street smart and has earned his wealth and reputation the hard way so yes he knows that kind of duniyadaari, which exists but sheltered people never see it. In terms of emotional development, though, he's still that young boy in many ways. He didn't interact with family/social settings over the past decade and the kind of company he keeps don't teach much about family life anyway.

He never had the opportunity to see someone wait for him to get home; cue: First episode where he just carelessly threw his coat and slept hungry and injured vis-a-vis the when he was injured and she helped him out; the look on his face was all telling on how grateful he was. He hates being vulnerable, but he also is a lost boy seeking home; the dressing is one part of that notion 😊

So true! Completely understand the thinking behind him rejecting the fluttering of his heart 😆

But she has still made a home in his heart, and someday when both are at a better place, he will accept it too 😛

Uff... I love your wording here.

Yes, that first episode was brilliantly done. Without words they told us about his loneliness, having all that wealth but coming home to a beautiful but empty home. The dressing did leave a huge impression on him because he knows that she, a woman, didn't do it expecting returns. It was genuine care.

Exactly, I was like Amma, what are you saying re? Maybe he may not understand family dynamics so well coz he has lived alone, but when it comes to everything else, he did not do that out of sheer luck, he worked hard and understood the situation and did what he deemed best to get to the ladder of success.
