I think we should ignore Twitter fans sometimes they go bonkers! And I feel they are bunch of teenagers.
Neil as an actor was uncomfortable in the handholding scene he mentioned it in a bts I think. So he would never defend manhandling.

Tbh he doesn’t need to justify his character. It’s a fiction and it’s a remake. We know how Virat gets possessed by Rono on and off in few tracks. Unless cvs decide to change the storyline Neil actor can’t do anything except play the Virat character beautifully as he is doing now.
