I feel as if I have always seen him eating only when Malini is speaking to him... did you see during the Pooja.., the way he was eating as if janmo janmo ka bhuka ho when Malini was talking to him. 🤣

Aditya knows nothing about Malini but knows that she make awesome chocolate cakes and Malini knows he likes palak paneer..... yeh khanna ke chakkar mein innone “aap se tum” ka Safar bhi Kayam nahi kiya and she wants more “mauka jaane ke liye” 😆That Line cracked me up like ab kya Janna hain aur jaana hi hain to learn why he lied. Seriously if you still dont know him in 7 years then what are you going to do in a night 😆 and if you still are not ready to hear the truth then even 70 years are not enough

So agree on the bold, this relationship really has so much of potential to unravel and hope that the writers would actually deep dive instead of just leaving it to imagination

Since you'll are discussing Adi-Malini superficial 7 years relationship, it would be interesting storytelling if creatives show Adi-Malini scenes in flashbacks while Adi is discovering new facets of his relationship with Imlie. Writers have already done it in the past with the jealousy flashback. When Aditya felt jealous of Pari in his last PD trip, his mind flashed back to restaurant date with Malini where she was insisting him to feel jealous of the people she was going out with. Jealous toh dur ki baat hain, as we later found out, Aditya had no idea who Malini's friends were or who she even went on that trip with. 😆 Like did Aditya-Malini never hang out with Malini's friends in 7 years.......sochne ki baat hain. Did they just have restaurant dates and that's it for 7 years and based on those dates decided to get married......kya hain yeh.How dumb can these 2 be? It will be funny to see in the future, Imlie decides to go to her mayka alone for a couple of days, Aditya will feel jealous of the bus driver even that he gets to be in the same space as Imlie for how many ever hours. 😆Anyways, as Aditya feels more for Imlie with each passing day, it would be nice if once in a while writers throw in Adi-Malini dates in the past so that audience can see Aditya is coming to the realization of how hollow his relationship with Malini was compared to how fulfilling his relationship with Imlie is and how he screwed up by being in a relationship with her for 7 years and eventually marrying her when he should have broken up with her long time ago.

Also, I was watching Imlie's birthday episodes and in there Aditya rejected Malini's choice for Imlie's college. When it came to gift-giving, Malini in front of the whole family disclosed that she had a gift but Aditya rejected it. That is outright disrespect to your husband in front of the family. She could have just said I do not have any gift for you but just a hug. She did not have to disclose what Aditya told her in private or blaming him in front of the whole family. It's like her impression in front of the family is so important that she does not think twice before bringing her own husband down just to protect her image. I had ignored it then but now as I am discovering more shades to Malini or as writers are showing more shades to Malini, it becomes clear that this is how she always has been.......just about herself. As long as things are going her way, she will throw parties for Imlie, Aditya and the family. But just one small thing goes differently than she thought and she can not get over it. For example, when Imlie mistakenly gave her cake to the jogis instead of Aditya's boss, she could not get over it. Even she was surprised why she kept on thinking about it. Also during Imlie's birthday time, Malini had shared her concern with Aditya how their thinking does not match after marriage when before marriage that was never an issue. And what did Aditya do........did he contemplate that hmmm that is weird, no, banda went on to promise Malini that if she takes 2 steps back he will take 4 steps toward her or something like that. Aditya did make a lot of promises to Malini which he obviously is not going to implement now....ahh tough road ahead for him when it comes to his relationship with Malini. No wonder he needs Imlie by his side. Aditya has no idea how hard it is going to be for him to extract himself from Malini. He just thinks that it will be one-time pain for Malini and that's it, they both will move on. He has no idea Malini will make him account for all his promises, make him feel so guilty, will disrespect him in front of his whole family. Yeah, Aditya really needs Imlie with him to face Malini. He will not be able to do it himself as he has no idea who Malini really is.

All this makes me think it is really important for Aditya to see Malini as she is instead of how he has been seeing her in the past 7 years....or probably ignoring her personality and just going with the flow as it was comfortable for him as long as he got to work as per his wish. He does not always need to compare Malini with Imlie or his feelings for both of them, but just to see Malini as is independent of Imlie. And to come to the realization that he never really knew her and now that he is seeing her as she is how incompatible they really are.

Obviously, Malini does not know the real Aditya. She knows only the "Moon" version of him. Not the real sun that he is which Imlie has seen. Do you remember when they had their bike vs car fight after marriage wherein Aditya's ego was hurt big time, Malini had no idea how to resolve the issue. She tried talking to him but she just could not get through him. And then she went crying to her mom, blaming her for their fight and that Aditya was so mad at her that he was not even talking to her. Like seriously.....who handles disputes between husband-wife like this? 😆

Malini knows Aditya only if he is agreeing with her or pleasing her. As soon as Aditya shows his real self to her, she is at a loss not knowing how to deal with him.

Imlie is a combination of immense faith as well as naivete/innocence.....I'm not sure what that has to do with questioning her intelligence😆....so a person can't be both intelligent as well as innocent? Imlie is savvy about many other things, but she has never experienced the emotions she's experiencing with Adi before either....so she is navigating it as best as she can.

I actually find it touching that even without the savvy of age and experience, she still expresses what she feels as honestly as she can.....that she can value Adi's emotions for her, express her own to him even if she cannot accept them yet.....there is a sense of discovery about their relationship in both of them....they aren't actively planning how much they should think or feel on any given day to manage the vachan vis a vis what they owe Malini....lol....but what they feel is so deep and pure, it inevitably manifests in simple things like the way they look at each other. She isn't actively trying to make any vachan difficult for Adi or trying to put him in an impossible situation....she is trying to stay true to her beliefs in the middle of such complications.....and let's remember what her basic belief is....that Adi IS her husband...so she will never find it wrong to put on the sindoor her husband gave her or to savor it with a smile, or savor any caring gestures from him.....what she will find wrong is accepting that haq at the cost of Malini....that is what she conveys again and again. Is it an oversimplified way of looking at things? Sure it is....but this is how Imlie always has been.

I think what many people keep struggling with is how Imlie can still consider Adi her husband if she doesn't want to come between him and Malini😆.....again, the answers to all these questions lies in understanding Imlie's belief system which is absolute in terms of what she believes Sita Maiyya has decided for her. Sita Maiyya married her to Adi and that's that....Imlie accepts what SM decides for her but at the same time she has that touch of managing her belief system on her own without imposing it on anyone....that is why she feels she can savor this truth in her heart without it impacting other people and their relationships. You can call it contradictory but this is Imlie at her core. Usko samajhna hai toh iske saath samjho.

And everyone keeps harping about Imlie ki Didi bhakti/prem😆....but mujhe toh ab amusing hi lagta hai....and I did find it kinda sweet that Imlie has the capacity to feel selfless happiness seeing Malini's happiness....shows what a clean heart she actually has....unlike Malini who can never be happy for someone else at the cost of her own happiness. Imlie has the capacity, however naive, to try and put aside her own pain to selflessly wish for someone else's happiness. We can debate it seperately about whether that is fair/unfair to Adi....but at her core, Imlie's capacity for giving is awe-inspiring, especially in contrast to the artificial nature of Malini's attempts to show "generosity" which actually end up being condescending gestures.

+ 1 to the bold. The bottomline for Imlie is that Adi is her husband as decided by her Sita Maiyya. She has never imposed this belief on Adi and she won't impose it on Malini/anyone else. She wants to accept this haq but not at the cost of sacrificing Malini's haq.That's how she has been since day 1, selfless. She married Adi to save him when she barely knew him also.

As for Didi bhakti, I'm resigned to it now because I guess that has been a recurring theme in this kind of storyline lol. But I'm also touched by Imlie's capacity for giving...because it comes from a genuine and heartfelt place and she does it all without any expectation of thanks or validation. :) Sab ko apna maan leti hai even if they don't reciprocate that.

AGREEED maybe because we understand this we don't find her wrong or confused.. again the difference in approach makes a huge difference in audience receiving it too because imlie does it from a genuine place one can handle her Extra oyaar for didi too caz it comes from a genuine fondness and likeablity for Malini and from.her natural sab pe pyaar lutane wala nature unlike didi doing ott extra sweet gestures but nothing looking real caz it comes with apne ko ooncha dikhana

Exactly, its not whitewashing anymore because she gave the saree that she was wearing. If "mahaan" dikhana hota to they would have shown her giving a different saree and with the dialogue that said she is happy in Imlie's happiness. But the saree became a symbol of unhappiness, so she wanted to get rid of it plus her dialogues that they cannot be happy at the same time was all her grey shades. It showed that she was actually not happy in Imlie's such a big achievement or press conference. I get that she is trying to save her marriage, trying to find that connect back with Aditya but the thing is she always knew that Aditya gives priority to his work over her. Hence, the lady who was all OK with Aditya leaving his engagement and giving priority to his work but making this drama over a date was something that just felt very weird and almost look like a tantrum. Hence, I feel its not whitewashing any more.

I never felt she was whitewashed or shown mahaan.😆 Her saccharine sweet act was always a facade and it was always deliberately more obvious to the audience and less obvious to other characters in the show. It was just more subtle before and less subtle now. Just like how this time she 'benevolently' donated her saree to Imlie to insert herself into this event, before she did things for others in a charity like manner also.😆 To me her demeanour with Adi/Ts'/Imlie always screamed that look, I'm doing you all neech class people a favour by doing things for you, you should all be grateful for my charity.😛 She was always perplexed with how Imlie (a gaoon ki ladki) can be so important to the Ts' toh to include herself, she started praising Imlie to Aditya without even really knowing her (like in that episode when Imlie made moti roti for Malini). She didn't like the moti roti but she defended Imlie when Adi said yeh ladki kuch bhi thik se nahi kar sakti.😆 I felt that was so insincere...praising/defending someone you barely know.😆

Aur bhi examples hai after Adi-Malini marriage, she always defended and did things for Imlie as an act of charity, to show Ts' how great she is for being able to do things for a servant when she came from a upper class background. There is a term for this in psychology but I can't recall it now. It's basically how racist people act the most supportive of other races in public to prove that they are not racist...you overcompensate your unconscious dislike/distrust of people by doing things for them and praising them. You this to suppress your true feelings but they come out in ways when you no longer can hide your true feelings from yourself. Like when Malini Didi didn't allow Imlie to attend the family dinner when Nishant bought a car, because she all along thought she was a servant. And now the way she donated her saree. I'm not sure if I can call this guilty conscience, because I don't think she feels guilty at all.😆 It's just classic upper class behaviour towards the less privileged.

I'd also like Adi to realise that he and Malini would have never lasted together even without Imlie in the equation, but I'm not sure if the writers intend to give us that because of dragging purposes. Right now it's easier to keep Adi oblivious to the obvious fact of his incompatibility with Malini so that they can drag out the whole majboori angle and not have to address Malini's flaws in this relationship.

So while it is obvious to us that Adi's relationship with Malini would have ended independent of Imlie, I think other characters will be kept oblivious to this. Warna sacrifice, majboori etc nahi dikha sakte na.😆

I don't think Malini will make Adi the villain when the truth comes out, I think it's more likely that she will make Imlie the vamp.😆 For all her nautanki after he left for PD, she was ready to come home in one second when he went to receive her without any explanation. This to me shows that she will lash out at Imlie only but Adi won't take that lying down.😛
