But since we meet him only when Anokhi or Shaurya meets him, we can easily misunderstand the smiles like he is mocking Shaurya or likes Anokhi. I mean he DOES like her, but not like Shaurya 'likes' her. And he has nothing personal against Shaurya either. The interactions he had with Shaurya made him feel like Shaurya is a baddimag and badtameez person. His first impression was not right when Anokhi says Aastha left for her son's misbehavior and Shaurya is the son. Despite his bad impression, when Shaurya visited the police station on Monday, the ACP was nice to him. He joked a little, yes, but he was good. Only when he knew the victim was Anokhi, he politely said that he will talk to her because she was the victim. He even said that if Shaurya was the victim, he would talk to Shaurya which shows that he follows protocol.

Yes, from his actions. It seems he does like her bc he was nervous when he was cleaning her hands. If he's just ACP, that's not part of his job.

He seems like a good positive guy and appreciates it when Shaurya thanks him or tries to do the right thing.

  • Yeah it is best it was addressed now considering his low class mentality. It would have hurt her and us more if they showed Anokhi blindly falling in love w a man who has these colors.
  • Even this didnt sit with me well either cause in the end even if ur friendly why hold her hand for her to sign whats more strange is she allowing him to touch her hand...if we say in real life we cant let just someone touch my hand even if he is a friend he isnt my lover or my husband...cause i feel being that comfortable with someone u have to know them for years before allowing them to be in ur personal space but now adays corona so ya stay away lol...smiley37
  • hahah i think i don't mind if people do touch my hand esp if i know they show no malice or terrible intentions..its just hands. But, the way it was done or shown, it gave me creepy ACP vibes. However, most people i meet first time or second time, maintain a good personal distance and space.
  • He definitely is and in real life unless we r close with the person only then we allow n she hasnt even known him at all...is blind to this...smiley36
  • Woh toh Anokhi hain na šŸ˜†
  • I question mark Anokhi as well about this whole situation with Ahir too...i also agree i feel like there is more to him then we as viewers know..but then again knowing cvs there might be nothing n he just too overly friendly which does come out as a creepsmiley22smiley37
  • Then they will also address this conditioning that society has that if a male or female is friendly then people make assumptions and misconceptions abt their relationship. I hope they do bc somewhere I have done that and im sure people do to.
  • I guess lets see what cvs have in store for us with doing all of this...i guess drama is all about dramasmiley37
  • True lekin itna real laga. We have seen countless ML's doing this but from Shaurya, impact bohut zyada hua. Itna real laga. I cant get his words and his body lang, tone, diction, action out of my mind. Aisa laga muje hi bol raha hain šŸ˜†šŸ¤£

With time she'll understand what it means to have an emotionally supportive partner. Ahir is shown comparatively less to understand his thoughts about Anokhi though he has said to Shaurya directly about his first impression. We'll see how this unfolds

Yes, she has not had the exposure to real world or any experience in any of this. She takes people and the world at face value. If you notice, she was so confused w Shaurya's gyaan on "keep professional and personal seperate" ...ACP understood where he was going w that and laughed bc he's doing exactly opposite of it but he's giving gyaan. 🤣

She, our sweetheart, was like yeh kya bol raha hain...pagal wagal toh nahi ho gaya 🤣

Do you remember the car scene with Shaurya before the riot sequence - she talks about first impression is the last impression! Her relationship with Ahir, her ease with him and the fact that she is so comfortable with him; a lot of this stems from her first impressions of not only Ahir, but also of police officers in general. When she came to Chandigarh - it was in the police station that she found refuge, so there is a sense of safety that she has already associated with police officers. Fast forward and reinforcing her belief is her first encounter with Ahir. He was beating the hell out of a man who abused his wife - an issue which she strongly connects with. These instances left an imprint on her psyche and he instantly became the man that she associates with safety and protection. Why not, afterall, Ahir's stance on domestic violence and woman emancipation is very progressive and he stands against everything that Anokhi has seen the male figures in her life perpetuating. I'm not saying that she likes him or anything, but she definitely respects him.

My whole problem with Acp Ahir is that (1) he is very cocky. Like you mentioned, the way he validates Anokhi's statement is wrong. It's fine if he wants to have the victim's statement first, but ignoring the witness' statement is not fair, especially since it was a situation when Anokhi was in emotional duress and Shaurya's statement could provide more additional info.

And (2) he gets very touchy. I'll give him a pass for the napkin one because her hands might have burnt and he was trying to help. But the oen thing was so not needed.

As women, we are very intuitive about the gaze and touch of men. So, I don't buy the idea that she is oblivious. If you see her interactions with Shaurya, she generally has no issues with the touch, unless she gets conscious (like she got during the riots and seatbelt scene) or today, when he was uttering the nonsense. Her being comfy is mostly because her radar has not sent her any red signal about Shaurya, so she let her guards down and hasn't been that alarmed. Moreover, she had that respect for Shaurya. I believe its the same with Ahir - she respects his uniform and him and so has not been alarmed yet.

  • Exactly im glad its out in the open for her that this is who he is n these are his views...cause she is hurt but compare to when she falls for him not knowing this side it be harsher for her later...lets see now where these two will go...

  • Right its different if u know them long enough for that touch...but ya him doing such a thing does give me other vibes...i agree in life ppl we meet or come across most give their personal space..then again this is drama without drama it aint a dramašŸ˜†
  • Then they will also address this conditioning that society has that if a male or female is friendly then people make assumptions and misconceptions abt their relationship. I hope they do bc somewhere I have done that and im sure people do to.
  • Right i feel they should cause we cant have that thinking in today's time..cause i have a guy friends n its normal to have..it shouldnt be looked at like ur in a love like relation just cause ur good friends..lets see what cvs have planned for this...

  • I can understand i felt the same it was a huge impact but i kind of knew it was coming the way his reactions were..cause i have seen other shows it happens all the timešŸ˜†Anyway hopefully they show him regretting terrible n feeling very sorry cause we need that...

Rather I feel the way Shaurya handles her is way rougher than what ACP does - he just holds her hand to clean or help her with pen or something milder.

Yes - Anokhi only started brushing Shaurya away after he threw the flower bouquet at her. His first unintentional act of anger towards her led to that change. That was the first time she told him to not touch her. After that incident, it repeated at the riots. Part of theater resistance stemmed from her insistence at breaking away from him to find Aastha ma’am. Shaurya’s touch has been a mix of softer ones and a few aggressive ones (even before the last two episodes). Not to mention the finger pointing which I never liked. So she started brushing him away when she saw his anger because frankly she’s grown up around very angry n aggressive men so her instinct would be to push away.

ACP maybe because he is closer in age and also a civil servent tends to treat her with more respect never condescending and he always uses ā€œaapā€ But yes the pen scene was just super odd and forced. But it’s clear it’s all in Shauryas head and he is making things up - when he told Anokhi she can go rest her head on his shoulder etc etc - he took a few innocuous touches and in his head, made them much more than what it was for at face value. I can’t even reason behind his thinking anymore

@bold: It's so understandable that Anokhi has an instinctual reaction to aggressive men....based on her history.

Also great point about when it all started. Shaurya has helped her get up when her shoe flew, prevented her from falling down the stairs, saved her after ragging.....but it really was only after flowers were flung at her that she started questioning his anger and aggression.

And you're soooo right, Ahir has always made a good impression.....from helping her find Aastha to wanting to help Babli.

Shaurya really did make up a story in his head....."Anokhi impressing the ACP during chai spill".....and because Anokhi chose to go with ACP to search for Aastha, saying thanks to the ACP for saving her, getting ride from ACP smiling, and going to him to report the kidnapping.....all of these interactions really has made Shaurya feel second best and he decided to really just burn it all down.

Great points from all! Shaurya today was a lot less reprehensible. If love is rose colored, jealousy is indeed a green eyed monster that misinterprets and plagues the mind with distrust.

Sleeping on his bad behavior seems to have done some good to Shaurya. He kept looking for an excuse to talk to Anokhi (apologize like he later said to himself), stared at her in class trying to make eye contact, sent off her friend so that he could talk to Anokhi in private. He was pleasantly surprised to see Anokhi walk into class, his slip at her ā€œshe is not the kind of girl to cower and runā€ caught Shaurya himself by surprise. His instinctive response was ā€œthen why leave?ā€. His calculated grasping at straws to keep her back by giving her that bakwas about the exams was all totally out of character for the sullen, always in control Sabarwal. Anokhi does not see his desperation in trying to hold her back at the institute.

Anokhi comes from a sheltered home, has had no crushes and has not been interested in guys. Her only goal has been to study and make a career for herself. She did not even want to get married, she told her dad that at the outset. The way her mother and sister have been treated probably hasn’t encouraged her to weave romantic dreams. She subconsciously though seems to be developing feelings for Shaurya - she is at ease with him, she berates and lectures him comfortably, he saved her from that locked room, he came with her to look for Astha, it still rankles with Anokhi that Shaurya left her in the crowd (he did not but she assumes so), she brings it up often enough that we the audience realize that it bothers the lady a bit too much, he saved her from the goons, he saved her sister, Shaurya to Anokhi has started to get special whether she realizes it or not. Even the way she half praises and half complains about him to Astha is telling.
As for Ahir, he seems harmless enough, if he is taken with Anokhi, so be it. She doesn’t see him that way, just as a gentleman and a cop in authority who does the right thing. His character does seem to be a bit overdone, letting Anokhi ride with him to look for Astha, the constant offering of chai like he has no other solid work to do, etc is kind of nonsensical for a busy ACP but the man himself is not bad so far.

Even today, Anokhi spoke her mind to Shaurya clearly and concisely. She is bright, innocent and does not understand these mind games Shaurya is engaged in, but then Shaurya himself does not comprehend what is wrong with him and why this chit of a girl incites such a strong reaction in him. His justification at the end of the episode that he was right in thinking what he did belied his ā€œwhat the hellā€ when he saw Anokhi in the jeep with Ahir. He admitted as much to Anokhi that he doesn’t believe what he alleged about her and he just blurted stuff out in anger. His reaction to Anokhi sitting on the floor weeping, her rejection of his touch, his hanky/rumal, were all bewildering to Shaurya as much as it was incomprehensible to Anokhi. Let’s hope the brilliant Professor figures out what it is that is wrong with him, his heart has been touched and taken away. But rough handling will not serve him any good, he needs to learn to be nice as well as caring, and who better to teach him than the upright Ms. Bhalla?

Shaurya ne ye nahi socha ki anokhi likes ahir's attention usne ye socha ki anokhi have feelings for ahir in future episodes it is revealed in a conversation with kanchan where he says that he thinks anokhi likes ahir and that made him insecured and angry which is normal when we are aware of feelings of our live towards us but ya use apna gussa control mai rakhna chahiye tha and anokhi ko ase words nahi bolne chahiye tha but kabhi kabhi gussa mai bohot asi baate hum boljate hai wo hum mean nahi karte the same thing happened with shaurya also and he apologized for that also but that doesn't mean he is a bad person or a person with cheap thinking so it is not right to judge shaurya with what he said in anger
