And like you said, kuch toh sangat ka asar bhi hota hai. If the people around you are doing the same thing as you, then why would you feel motivated to stop? Woh bhi kar rahe so you'll tend to think it's okay.

If he really is motivated to stop, then he'll find a way to see through it.
