Hi guys!

I usually watch GHKKPM on star plus, but I came across Pandya Store recently. I watched a few episodes and I realised its a remake of the Marathi serial “Sahkutumb sahparivar” .

The Marathi version is quite ahead of this version. But I felt that Pandya store is much better in terms of character arcs and the whole Gautam and Dhara storyline since it was missing in the Marathi version. But apart from that, it's exactly the same. Especially the whole marriage fiasco.f

But yes, for those of you who love Raavi and Shiva(I DO!), you are in for a treat if they follow that version.

Has anyone else watched the Marathi version of it?

Seems all the shows hate remade in all languages. There was Bengali version as well.

I’m very new at this remake thing but since Starplus has a lot of remakes, I tried to learn more about them. Sure enough, almost all shows have remakes into their regional languages. So, lots of remakes!! 😆

The concept is the same but every remake adds their own depending on the audience.

Not aware of Bengali. But the original is Tamil, follwed by a remake in Malayalam, followed by Marathi and now Hindi. The only difference I see as of now is the casting of leads where both Kinshuk & Shiny are much young compared to the lead actors in regional versions who are older. But I guess that's a requirement of ITV which does not easily accept older leads except for few famous artists. The actors in regional versions, in truest sense, look the role of elders who have fully brought up the brothers as their own kids. To be honest, I haven't been able to digest Shiny as a mother like figure to atleast Dev and Shiva if not Krish. 😆

I am trying though.🤓

yes almost every star plus show is a remake from some regional show. But I’ve heard that almost all of them follow the story line of their regional versions. Honestly viewers would like to see appropriate changes made to the Hindi versions. It gets a bit boring and annoying if everything is copied.

I hope Pandya store is slightly different. Cause at least in the Marathi version, Raavi and Shiva don’t have good chemistry, but In the Hindi version, they are great together. ❤️

Rishita is an extremely unlikable character in the Marathi version! 🤢

Hope they make changes!

The Bengali version was called Bhaggolokkhi. I Googled the re-makes and Hotstar has the show.

Yes, I too just now googled it after reading this thread. The original version in Tamil is remade in many languages such as Marathi, Bengali, Malayalam,Telugu. Kannada. In Tamil, it still has very good trps sometimes yep topper too even after 500 episodes. Seems like some versions already failed to get the trps. Hope Hindi one maintains good trp rating. All the actors are giving a great performance in Hindi. Also Gupta brothers kind of have same concept and in Hindi language as per google. Why do we have two series on same concept and that too in star network.
