Aditya concern stood out even with the statement of her being his first wife. We have to remember he was always denying she is his wife and alway said she held no place. Her promise doesn’t allow him to claim her but at the end he want around the clause to tell her how he feels and why he feels so and through this line he showed her she has a right on him all along as she was the one that entered the bond with him first.

I feel the back drop of the whole balloons etc was done to show us the beauty of the bond these tow hold were the can simply sit and talk over a cup of tea.

Today’s episode I felt was a try at the cvs wanting to show that love can put everything in a perspective for there is no fear in love but love can retain fear. He is in that pendulum as is she.

At the moment he is at a cross road were he both feels imprisoned and liberated and he is trying to tell her he has made his choice to be free of it indirectly if she is by his side.

I just want to say this is no ordinary love story for it has far more hurdles to come some we may like others we may not but live is never a bed of roses and that’s what I feel Imlie is about and has shown so far.

@bold: +1....that is exactly what he's trying to express to her. He's spent so long denying the validity of their marriage, the FACT that he married her first....so this is his atonement for all that even if he isn't being able to overall solve the problem they are in yet. In his mind, at the very least he wants Imlie to start having that trust/faith in him that she is the only wife in his heart and mind now.....that she is the one who has the first right on him no matter what anyone else says.

I also liked your point about what the writers were attempting to do with this scene.....with Adi feeling both liberated and imprisoned....and expressing all of that to Imlie with total honesty.....letting her know she is his choice in every way now even if they are trapped by circumstances overall.

Hurdles are there in every love story.....lol but the ones in this story probably make most people more uncomfortable because they don't fall into easy slots to be able to process.

How does that saying go? Love makes everything beautiful? Here I'd say, Adi-Imlie have a way of making everything beautiful no matter how complicated a situation they are grappling with😆

Will Aditya ever want Imlie going around without it anymore? Or will he ask her to wear something else that is symbolic of their relationship? I cannot even imagine the drama that will follow if they decide that the sindoor stays before any truth reveal happens

LOL tum sab logon ne sindoor scene bahut seriously le liya hai I think😆

It seems more like a gesture at this point....Adi wanting to give her that sense of validity/sanctity about their marriage, about the fact that she has the haq to have him put sindoor on her as her husband.....despite how Bailbuddhi he is, I don't think Adi expects Imlie to go around wearing this sindoor in front of the family😆....it's a symbol of his acceptance of their relationship but Imlie will hide it from everyone else as she has been for a while until they actually know the truth.

There is no option right now for Imlie to keep the sindoor on....they will likely excuse it just like last time ki Imlie bacchi hai, aise hi sindoor lagaa liya hoga😆.....unless they want to go the way of producing a fake husband for Imlie and cue Prakash ki re-entry.....lol. I'm not sure I want that headache at this point.

The precap has left me completely zapped. Yeh log sindoor ka qutub minar leke hi ghumte hain kya ghar mein?! The scene from the precap is not in Adi's room of talents. Could it be a dream?

Isn't there the masterchef @Tripathis still pending...she ain't have no sindoor in that!

No, I don’t think it’s a dream and it’s not a weekly precap either. It’s an actual scene.

Imlie will remove the sindoor later on her own and then the rest of the MasterChef etc scenes will happen. Like I said, it’s a gesture from Adi. Imlie will savor it but then remove it to continue keeping the secret of their marriage from everyone.

His talk with his father once again confirmed this when he never understood why he missed her before he went to pd. we are all comparing him to a normal male lead whom falls in love but that’s not his case. His ideal of love was compatibility where he believes being the same is love.

His whole viewpoint and ideals have been challenged by Imlie. So yes he is acting out of character because all is wants is reassurance. The show is showing how all three are battling with this relationship all trying to avoid hurting the other only to realise that all will have to go through the storm to see the brightness at the end.

I forgot to quote this portion in my previous post, so I'm quoting it now....but I think you put it very well, Raaz.

With Adi, we have to turn our usual expectations from a male lead on their head.....nothing is typical with this guy, least of all if you view him through the lens of a typical ITV Male Lead who falls in love in a typical way and then acts upon it in a typical way too.

As you aptly pointed out, Adi functioned till this point in his life on the idea that compatibility is love....comfort is love. But now his whole world has turned upside down as he's realizing that just wasn't it.....love isn't about complacency and convenience. Love should make you want to fight for it in the face of all challenges and discomforts. That is the beauty of his equation with Imlie....in the midst of such immense complications, challenges, discomforts.....it is only with her that he finds sukoon...peace....not because she is a convenience or a comfort....but because he only feels himself with her. As he said that day on the bus returning from PD...with Imlie he feels safe. That is what I felt this convo showed again. He initiated the convo to reassure her that she can trust him....but the convo soon showed that ultimately he feels this need to share every unvarnished truth of his with Imlie, even the uncomfortable ones because that is the only place where he feels safe. That is what I saw from him in this scene as he was about to break down again saying that he doesn't want to hurt Malini either....like he could only share his burdens with Imlie without judgement....

I won't say all three are battling the situation trying to avoid hurting the others....right now, I mainly see Adi-Imlie trying to avoid hurting someone else as they navigate their relationship....Malini has overtly started hurting Imlie as was seen in the previous epi.....not that it matters to Imlie much....lol she was chirpy enough with Malini again in the very next scene. Atleast Adi has started calling out her attempts to zone out her hurt more directly....he's not letting Imlie retreat into her usual compartmentalized zone and is forcing her to confront that what she feels is valid and she can't deny it simply cuz she thinks accepting those feelings will hurt Malini.

+100 I have to agree with they make it beautiful indeed by just simply being them 😆

And those hurdles is what will make there bond and resolve stronger and inseparable. The honesty spoken in there feelings on topics most couples avoid shows the believe the hold that all will be okay. I just love the way you said it on the above they just want to be with someone whom is exited to want share there rest of there life with even if it means living with the others happiness and with the fear that it can be lost as well.

You said it so well the whole focus of the episode was about choices and the struggle of making them. These some will find indeed difficult but I found them to be the strength of there growing love and when both will be able to express it freely it will be a treat to watch 🤗

@BOLD: I can only imagine how beautifully this will be done..

I hope to see that transpire without much drama from Malini.

Now it feels even more like yesterday's hug scene with Malini was a setup to jolt Adi into having this conversation with Imlie about how there is nothing like that between him and Malini anymore.

Otherwise Imlie never asked him for any proof of faithfulness even after he confessed his feelings to her in PD. Their conversations remained limited to what he feels for her, rather than getting into whether or not he feels anything for Malini anymore. Imlie never asked, and Adi never felt the need to get into that topic either😆.....but this visual forced them both to confront the reality of Malini still considering herself married to Adi. Imlie ofcourse tried to downplay it as usual to deny it bothered her, but Adi at this point doesn't want to downplay or compartmentalize anything anymore....so for both their sakes, he forced this conversation so that he can speak his truth to Imlie unvarnished yet again.

I do have to marvel at how the writers manage to write these complicated conversations between Adi and Imlie so well. They are, so far, managing to convey such a RANGE of emotions in this complicated setup....it is equally true that Adi doesn't want to hurt Malini while it's also true that he's not being able to bring himself to care much about Malini's expectations and demands from him anymore either😆. He isn't able to fake a level of care/concern simply to reassure her.....even if he doesn't want to hurt her, he will also not lie and pretend to feel something he doesn't for her anymore.

Which then brings me back to the tag of ZIMMEDAARI....lol the way it was brought up today twice was again very telling. Adi initially tried to use the excuse that he has to take Imlie back with him cuz she's his zimmedaari....to which Malini asks him if she too is not his zimmedaari....lol so Adi says, "Aap BHI toh meri zimmedaari hain"....and I was again reminded of the way Pyar and Zimmedaari flipped during that fateful convo in the hut.

Then later on, during his convo with Imlie, Adi assertively tells her that she is his first wife....not farz, not a dhaaga, not ZIMMEDAARI😆.....and I found that interesting as well. Adi has used the tag of "zimmedaari" for a long time as his cover for his concern for Imlie rather than having to admit his love/care for her....the word has a formality associated with it in many ways. But in this moment, he assertively told her that she is his wife, not an obligation or a responsibility. In essence, he was removing that tag of formality from their relationship and acknowledging that she has the rights of a wife.....which are much beyond the formality of a responsibility. And again, I felt that contrast of how his relationship/marriage with Malini was always a formality, always depicted as something he owed her....most of Adi's dialogues have always been about what he owes to her after 7 years of dating. But with Imlie, there is never an obligation....there was a sense of claiming in this scene....he was expressing that she has the claim of being his wife, not the tag of being a formal responsibility.

So well put AY...Ab tum aise likhogi toh fir se episode dekhna padega aur Adi jaisa mujhe bhi job ko tata bye bye karna padega..LOL. Mua job ka sawal hai...varna the episode deserves another watch..!

The writers have such a complex story in hand and I cannot help but give them kudos on how well they are handling it. Not to mention the leads doing a great job too!
