what is a banvas?

i listen to the song played for arjun bhoomi it says

bin tere banvas hay jeaven(without you my life( bhommi's life)is a banvas)

Banwas means exile.

The song goes something like(Nice Song😃)

Din Banjaare, Raatein Jogan, Tere Bin Banwaas Hai Jeewan

As Bhoomi is gonna get separated from Arjun by leaving the house temporarily, its banwaas for her
