Is Aashiqui the most popular Bollywood album of all time?

Probably Yes.. It still plays so much in rural parts of India. We might not hear it it much in US or urban parts of india, but the music is timeless

It is certainly a strong contender. It's never not been "playlisted" whether on radio or in homes. From 1989 to 2021 and beyond. That album changed and reshaped Hindi film music forever.

And I believe it's the best selling album of all-time(?)

1.5 Cr in 1990 is huge. They don't have numbers for 80s maybe Maine Pyar Kiya or Love Story would have come closer.
