Oh yes I can see him totally talking in riddles and maybe even showing up to talk to her at night but she won't understand what he is saying! One bc she isn't getting married but also because she never really gets what he means when he talks in riddles. But I don't think he would fight for her because he would count himself out of the race at that point.

Was there potential or was it all in my head? Is this because they were never enough or proper scenes initially?

hahaha all of the above! I also have NO idea how I thought there was potential but I do think Shakhi have ruined us for a bit because in the beginning I was obsessed with these two! I like rewatched their scenes a lot. But also I do think that the fact that NB got engaged to Aish has messed with the chemistry these two share on screen. Because that first night scene where she falls into his arms I felt the chemistry there but lol ever since they started making her behave like an actual child, it's gone. Somehow it just doesn't feel as magical and he doesn't seem as present. It feels extremely platonic. Like if I felt anything, it is only because the song added some sensual magic. Otherwise I literally feel NOTHING seeing this.
