Karobaar from 2000 also looks like a modern movie

What sounds like a "modern" song to you? I know you don’t keep up with movies anymore so I am genuinely curious. Or what new song doesn't sound modern to you?

Because this song is early 2000ish and sounds like it too the minute it starts. Similar vibe to Saathiya from Darling, or jal jal ke dhuan.

The western vibes in these songs are so real unlike today where they try to adopt western feel but can not cope up to that level they just sing a hindi/urdu song in westernised accent but could not bring the feel the early 2000's westernised melody had

this also one of the example western vibe with classic rendition

So wanna be western means modern. Got it! Nothing beats early 2000s in wannabe western of course! So I agree. The brown hair and blonde streaks in everyone's hair, and glorified western setting in every other movie... the misguided attempt to appeal to non western Desis was real!

2021 just started, so hard to judge its music or covid music but in recent times Bollywood has attempted different styles of music beside bad remixes. Such as EDM, rock, hip hop and done pretty well with them. My personal favorite Amit Trivedi always creates something that sounds refreshing and new, therefore modern to me.

No it doesn’t 🤔 . It sounds pretty dated actually.
