@b-Harsh Reality of this society they didn't get that one slap means she is not even considered respectful but itna dimaag hota toh aaj hum kahan hote...one slap, scream everything is huge HUGE...

Actually I always feel women are more responsible than men for the atrocities which we as gender tolerate in this society.

Women's are the ones in college,I have seen female professors are more interested in watching what a gjrl is wearing with whom she is talking now they are still educated women consider about uneducated...

This leviation that men get na on women's of being a property, samaan is becoz most of the time surrounding women also support them...they don't show unity...

I am not taking away account of men its just as a gender women need to stand with other one rather than passing judgement...atleast if can't do much speak,help....

Exactly!

The way she looked down n touched her belly (it was not shown clearly), I felt the same.

But then kya fayda? Kal toh Vansh uske upar gir jayega apna pura body weight lekar.

3 things I LOVE about Vansh's character:

1. He never pulled rank with Riddhima like his family. After the first time he showed her the room, he never taunted her for being poor/middle-class.

2. He never sl*t-shamed Riddhima.

3. The guy is not a womanizer. I loved how he turned his face away when Neha came close to him while dancing in epi 1.

Yahi hamara Vansh tha ❤️

Aur usne kabhi Riddhima ko uski permission ke bina touch nahi kiya...

Infact marriage se pehle aur uske baad bhi safe distance maintain kiya.

Chahe kuch bhi ho saare ITV ML se Vansh lakh guna zyada accha hai.. mere POV se😊

Yes.

In fact many Youtube reviewers (not the professional ones) bashed the movie for being anti-men.

Seriously anti men? How could be people so blind. People behave as if we live in a perfect society where discrimination doesn't reside.

In this country a woman's struggle starts from home. Even after being educated women have to face horror every where home to work place we're still not safe. Still people love to be in denial.

@bold - I wouldnt say that...coz he is chauvinist in other ways.

But he is surprisingly progressive about certain things...which I pointed out.

I think aap revenge track bhi consider kr rahe ho...maine nahi kiya.

But ofcourse individual ki thinking pe hai vo kis tarah se character ko perceive krega..

Baaki ITV ML ke comparison me mujhe Vansh unse zyada theek laga

Because we're trained to believe & behave like that. It is deep rooted in our mind. Take amrita's mom she learnt it all from her mother(ratna ji did a great job👏) I know women who are from high society well educated independent most importantly had a supportive family still taking shit from the partner & find it normal.

I also like the kamwali bai who narrates her own story to amrita after the slap and says she had wondered if one day the husband locks her out like she had done to him, Where will she go.

And that's reality. Leaving can be luxury for some people sometimes

The fact that the director has captured all those type of women was commendable. Some people who saw the film just couldn't recognise it that the movie was far more than just amrita and the slap. The minute details in the background along with the supporting characters was what made the movie very well written.

Yup through amrita she also learnt something. In a last scene she didn't take that money given by vikram.

Anubhab sinha did a great job. & I'm happy that this year all about thappad in filmfare truly deserved.
