Let me tell you the reality. Lot of people in cinema hall including women was mocking film. People are like ek thaapad k liye itna drama kyu kar rahi hai yeh ladki..Yeah very realistic movie with strong dialogues and characters....yeah it is a slow paced movie but a realistic movie there was a time I just cried listening to her dialogues of how over a period of time women loose sense of ownself taking care of family becoz maybe I have seen it around me many times but her dialogues made me feel that, that pain of married ladies......I loved that movie....realistic approach.....
But problem remained same with people KS entered 100 crore club while it got leukwarm respons at BO....

Thappad was a fantastic movie
Three women, upper class, middle class and lower..all subject to misogyny in different ways..beautifully crafted..how they dealt with it in the end was something that i really liked
A loving perfect husband who did not even realize he had once neglected his wife's dreams until she told him.
Yeah I also loved that movie...
Kudos to the ones who made it....I don't know how bollywood perceived it,how it performed on BO but I seriously admire that movie its dialogues, hard hitting to the society those bitter truth which are very casually been ignored told in it....👏👏
The best thing about Vansh till now is he never questioned Riddhima's character unlike gul and Ekta mls.
3 things I LOVE about Vansh's character:
1. He never pulled rank with Riddhima like his family. After the first time he showed her the room, he never taunted her for being poor/middle-class.
2. He never sl*t-shamed Riddhima.
3. The guy is not a womanizer. I loved how he turned his face away when Neha came close to him while dancing in epi 1.
Hmm exactly han hum change nhi kar sakte par pne liye choose kar sakte hai...😊
Haan 👍🏼

Not a tapsee fan but she made me fall for amrita.. I loved her last scene with her mother in law. Overall well written movie but slow paced. Even I liked kamwali didi & single mother diya.. Her dialogue I was loved by a wonderful man & I want to believe they're good creature so whatever you said I didn't hear.👏
@B - Yeah.👏
I also like the kamwali bai who narrates her own story to amrita after the slap and says she had wondered if one day the husband locks her out like she had done to him, Where will she go.
And that's reality. Leaving can be luxury for some people sometimes
The fact that the director has captured all those type of women was commendable. Some people who saw the film just couldn't recognise it that the movie was far more than just amrita and the slap. The minute details in the background along with the supporting characters was what made the movie very well written.

Yes.
In fact many Youtube reviewers (not the professional ones) bashed the movie for being anti-men.

It will take 50 more years for our society to grasp this.
