Character Based Review- 25th March 2021

Loved reading all of your thoughts from yesterday. Let's see what the episode has in store for us today:

Shaurya: Did he indirectly propose to her? "Kya pata saari zindagi waha rehna pade" That would be a disaster for your Badi Ma, my dearest. I think he wasn't thinking when he said that. Since the time he has fallen/is falling in love, he fumbles a lot and blabbers a lot. The posh SS is lost somewhere. The episode began with his apology. Thank you Shaurya for apologizing. But when exactly did you realize your fault? As of last Saturday, Anokhi was a dumbo who left SIAC for "zara si baat pe" I really don't want to point the inconsistencies a lot and would prefer to focus on the rest of the epi. I am already salty that they changed Monday's precap. He himself revealed that he saved her during the riots. All the frustrations finally came out. Now that he has said everything that bottled up inside him, I hope he doesn't get angry in the near future. Near future because I know the truth of ITV MLs is inevitable. (FLs too but I will come to that later) We will see when he wrongs her in the distant future. One thing I didn't like was the way he pulled Anokhi closer. He has been touching her since a long time now. Come on, she is not your girlfriend or your wife for you to do that. Jab ban jayegi tab kar lena. Okay, jk. I know they are trying to make it a passionate love story, but they need to realize that passion doesn't mean the ML pulling FL closer. She is still just a student. There is a decorum to maintain. When have they ever maintained the decorum? I don't remember. After Anokhi forgives him, they video call Aastha and inform her about Anokhi going back to Chandigarh. Ahir was also there. Shaurya called him by his name for the first time! Mithai khilao ShauHir fans ko. He suggests Anokhi to stay at his home! Here comes the indirect proposal. Mr. why would she live at your home for the rest of her life? I think he doesn't have the answer to that question himself. I won't be surprised if he vacates a hostel room so she can stay there. Shaurya is able to do anything! Then comes the car scene. Shaurya lies to Devi again. I can't imagine what he will do post confession and then marriage. With the songs playing and silence in the air, it felt very awkward to him. And Anokhi as always stood oblivious.

Anokhi: itni jaldi maan kaise gayi? Considering she only wanted an apology, I wasn't shocked. Here comes my frustration on FLs. They are so mahan that they forgive MLs for everything. Sometimes I think it's more of the FL's fault than the ML's. The ladies tend to be so mahan that the men take them for granted. I liked how she trusted Shaurya when he revealed everything. Anyone else could have said he was lying for he wants to be in her good book. She has reached a position where she can trust him blindly. My shipper heart is happy. She gets ready for Chandigarh. Then comes the next problem. Aastha (in the call) asks where she will live. My naive Anokhi couldn't gauge Shaurya's feelings when he was giving options after options on her favor. Why would a male teacher offer you to live in his home? Anokhi didn't think about it once. She just said everyone hates her there so she can't come. If people didn't hate you there, do you trust Shaurya so much that you were ready to live in his home? Looks like the sorry was so powerful that it made her forgive everything. To top it off, she is too naive. Even in the car scene, Shaurya felt awkward due to all the songs playing on the radio. Generally, I have seen uncaring MLs and awkward FLs in this scenario. Given Anokhi's character, it was understandable. If tomorrow Shaurya ends up taking her to the family dinner, she won't find it weird. Because she doesn't even seem to notice the special treatment she has been receiving from him.

Aastha: Be prepared. I am about to criticize her again. First, she finds the door of her house open. She has two elderly people at India. Considering the crime rate in India, she should be worried (which she was for a bit), but she wasn't skeptical of the bouquet in her house. A normal human would find her parents, ensure they are safe and then ask if they know about the bouquet. She did none of this. Your female student is away with your son for a long time and you don't feel there is something going on? Someone mentioned yesterday that she hasn't been with Shaurya for 25 years, so she might not know if there is a change in his behavior. She has been with Anokhi, right? She doesn't even notice the small changes in Anokhi. She made Ahir a coolie as well. Ahir critics can ROFL now.

Ahir: The actor is great at keeping the mystery unfolded. Yesterday, I felt he was here for a genuine reason. Today I feel he has a crush on Anokhi. The worry could just be a police instinct as well. There isn't a single reason for that. He likes Anokhi as a person. Liking someone doesn't always have to be in a romantic fashion. More than Anokhi, I felt he missed Shaurya today. "Mujhe chai se koi dushmani nahi hain" Mother India ke saamne ladle bete ko criticize kar dia. He doesn't seem to mind being a coolie though. Hum saare ainveyi mazak udate rehte hain. I am waiting for the day he accomplishes in making Shaurya drink tea.

Devi: I felt so sad for her today. Her happiness is short-lived. I have a strong feeling Shaurya would show up with Anokhi at the family dinner if they do manage to make it to Chandigarh by then. By the way, was the cake made by her? If yes, she is a good baker. I want to have that cake.

Precap: Hum tum ek car mein band ho aur rasta bhul jaye! Doesn't GPS exist? Or they don't work in small towns. Kaisi hu main. I should be happy. ShaKhi away from the world even if for one epi sounds exciting. Kanchan needs to stop poking her nose in his business. I have also noticed, she is decent in her scenes with the family. Only when she has a scene with Shaurya, she seems OTT. Honestly, that needs to stop.

I think Shaan is planning to propose Aastha. Kitty seems fine, so Anmol hasn't done anything with her yet. Fair enough. It should wait till ShaKhi come back.

they never maintained any decorum to begin with , so why start now (alone on a highway) ?

anokhi has to be maahan and forgive him to drive the plot forward, ITV stereotypes are never gonna change

personally i'd forgive a person who said something like this to me , but he would definitely be off the 'potential-romantic-partner' list (just my personal view , not forgiving is completely okay as well)

i know shaurya's mentality hasn't completely changed overnight but i felt shaurya's apology was genuine (it wasn't only to prevent anokhi from leaving), he was prepared to let her make her choice and go to kapurthalla , that's growth

i liked it when he reminded her that she has fought to come all this way and shouldn't give up on her dreams and career , this doesn't align with his MCP behavior , i am not sure if its a character inconsistency or because he cares about anokhi (thus cares about what's important to her, i guess that the point of the story ?) or out of guilt . what do you think ?

Anokhi is a tubelight , way too naïve

ahir was definitely lying about having work in kapurthalla , he probably likes anokhi

kanchan is OTT , they need to tone it down a little

even i'm waiting for the day when ACP finally manages to get a chai date with Professor

My favorite person in today's episode is Shaurya. I found everything about him cute.❤️

I agree on everything you said about Shaurya, especially the grabbing her by the arms part. We know he is going to make some arrangements for her at the hostel soon. For the night, they are going to spend it in the car. GPS should work on the Kapurthala Chandigarh route but I guess Shaurya was confident about the route and never put it on in the first place.

Anokhi agrees to go back to Chandigarh without any concern about her accomodation until Aastha points it out. Also, as they were more than half way to Kapurthala, she could have went there as well and met her mother. Even if she stayed at Aastha's place, Rama could have come to meet her there. After that she could return to Chandigarh. I liked that she did not feel awkward in the car. She is comfortable with Shaurya's presence and enjoying the ride quietly. Not everyone likes to talk all through the journey.

Aastha, as I said yesterday, the CVs have stopped paying much attention to her character. The bouquet she understood was from Shaan but she should have checked on her parents as soon as she entered. (I still don't understand why they even showed her parents to be still alive unlike Mohor). Also she did not question Anokhi about her sudden change of mind. Is she aware of their changing feelings for each other. It is very odd she never asked a thing about Shaurya to Anokhi.

Devi is the perfect possessive mother. She doesn't want anyone hak jamao-ing on her son. I don't understand how she was okay with someone like Shagun.

Shaan has no deen-duniya ki fikr and is busy listening to another Aandhi track. (btw the movie Aandhi has many similarities to his love story. Perhaps that is why he likes its songs so much).

Kanchan is going to do "bhanda for" of Shaurya. Let us see how Shaurya manages it.

I was surprised to see Alok listening to Gayatri for once.

I haven't watched the episode yet, but I went through WU,... Is execution better? For some reason, I am not too excited to watch the episode.. Maybe I can watch these three episodes on Saturday...

More than love story and extra closeness wala scenes, I like watching consistency... I saw a clip on Instagram and seems like Shaurya does not argue about bheek mein milli sorry and just asks her then why do you want to leave it you can do without fake sorry... I am totally off now with this.

This could have been brilliantly portrayed if they maintained consistency in the story... Did rama even know Anokhi was coming? Anokhi only talks to Astha from Kapurthala...

I am literally surprised that Shaurya didn't react much to divorce or even talk to Shaan... And Astha didn't care about his son's thoughts and Anokhi's decisions...

I dont know why, but today's episode especially the bridge scene was underwhelming for me. I felt something was lacking, it could have been more emotional & passionate, Nikki's response to his sorry & riot MU clearing was very lukewarm, it could have been executed better. is it the acting or bgm or writing I cant put a finger on it. We've had so many effective scenes before with lesser dialogues. on top of that I have to rewind so many times to understand KV's dialogues.

But all over the forum I see everyone is happy and going gaga over the epi, so may be I have started having more expectations from the team.

Shaurya: She is still just a student. There is a decorum to maintain. When have they ever maintained the decorum? I don't remember.

The lines were blurred a long time ago and there's no point in expecting that decorum anymore! So let's buckle up and get ready for more (because CVs are not going to show us the slow/steady progress that we want to see).

IMO, this is true in real life as well. I know girls/ladies who very quickly forgive the men in their lives even for the worst shit. But here's the good news: They may forgive quickly but don't forget for a long time (and may be never). So let's hope Anokhi remembers it and keeps reminding him even after their marriage (Yaad hai paanch saal pehle aapne uss din library mey kya kaha tha ) 🤪

Why would a male teacher offer you to live in his home? Anokhi didn't think about it once.

I think Anokhi doesn't see him just as a male teacher. He is Shaan's son. Shaan is almost like a local guardian to her and she probably extends that thought with Shaurya too. Aastha is her mentor and almost like a parent. She trusts her to bits and Shaurya is Aastha's son after all. It's a different matter that Shaurya never acted like her guardian or mentor but there's an indirect connection.

(At least I want to think so to not be weirded out, and continue watching the show..)

Aastha: She doesn't even notice the small changes in Anokhi.

She really is clueless and I hope they give her a monologue or something that shows she's not so dumb.

Devi: I have a strong feeling Shaurya would show up with Anokhi at the family dinner if they do manage to make it to Chandigarh by then.

I doubt he'd do that because he still seems to be scared about telling her the truth. He has been lying to her a lot these days! Or hiding stuff. If he really shows up with his favourite student for their family dinner I'm going to clap and whistle seeing Badi Maa's reaction.

He says something like "the Map showed this route" and it's actually true in India. At times maps don't show the right routes, especially in regional areas. So it's possible he genuinely missed the road or may be he's playing tricks to spend the night with her in the car and avoid the family dinner. 🤣

I watched the episode just now.. 🤣 not watching episode in the morning is really helpful to get hell lot of work done over day dreaming whole day and just making posts on forum😆

Now, Shaurya... He did not really apologize.. But OK, he was adorable today... He has actually waited long time to just tell Anokhi he deserves acknowledgment... But one thing that he did point out was that Anokhi would accuse him and tell him off for all bad things much more than expressing gratitude and saying good about him... His line actually melted me😆 4 buri baatein 8 baar sunati ho... Do achi baatein ek baar toh batao 🤗or something on that line and I was like... Aww... He is really into her...

Saberwal house mention was just a slip.. But he seems to be already imagining Anokhi staying with him in future... He kind of made it clear that there is no need to say Never for it... To be honest, more than apology and clarification of MU... I loved their interactions when Astha was involved...

Shaan and Astha... Well they are in their lala land... Let them be there..

I still have some hopes from Ahir... But what really put me off today was Ahir's comment on why he Anokhi should stay in Chandigarh for case.. When Shaurya said the same thing.. He mocked him.. But today he literally countered it and said same thing....

I don't want to see triangle there.

There might be internet issue there and he wouldn't be able to find the way.. Let's see..

Lol what do you expect the writers to do? Of course anokhi had to return somehow, long distance love story won't work now 😆 but like others speculated I think if they went with anokhi staying cause of astha divorce that would have been better. Like she forgive him but can't forget hence she don't want to return but she's forced to. But then, does anokhi know about astha shaan divorce? And what's up with this dude shaan, he's so happy and escaped house . If want to remarry why hurt astha like that? Or dude didn't think it through and now got the idea after serving papers?

Agree with the push pull thing. They made him a teacher and he's already turned shit with that character assassination thing, let's not pile on that. I feel anokhi need to put the distance like she did with Ahir. And now that SA have patched up, what role Ahir gas other third wheel?

Maybe an unpopular opinion but acp actor is better than shaurya actor.
