Arijit didnt threw him out at all ....he himself fought for singers right in 2013 even before arijit took over with Aashique 2 , Sonu was already in tussle with music labels (T series, Zee music , Tips) for illegal contracts and announced his retirement ....had he been silent and spineless his songs from popular films like heropanti , kick , main tera hero etc etc wouldn't be dubbed and he would have been as popular as he was ....but he chooses to take a stand for the right objective which cost him his carrier because he was fighting with music labels .......and for a fact Sonu one song Abhi Mujh Main Kahin is > then arijit singh entire carrier..... Recently Sonu won singer of the decade award in MMA and out shined any arijit songs , contribution in all these years

IMO (in-my-opinion-as-a-person-with-a-doctorate-in-music-that-created-this-degree-because-only-experts-are-allowed-to-have-an-opinion), Arjit’s track record of songs is much better though. Majority of his songs are hits and very popular. Quite frankly, he is one of the rare singers thus far who has an album filled with good songs back to back. I can’t even recall a song of his that was actually bad. You just keep repeating the Abhi Mujh Main Kahin song like a broken tape record. Find other songs to reference as well. 🥴

Singer Sonu Nigam tweeted a dozen times on December 13th in what seems to be a major issue with the contract he has signed with music company T-series for his films. Apparently Shekhar Suman’s directorial venture ‘Heartless’ seems to have been caught in the tussle too.

After a tussle with music company T-series, Sonu Nigam hastily announced his retirement that left his ardent fans shocked and worried and expressed his displeasure over some contractual issues.

Arijit had popular songs i agree but he had no song that would stay for years to come ....infact shahrukh-arijit songs are forgettable it didn't attained the same legendary status which srk with sonu udit abhijeet kumar had ......its like ashique 2 became instant popular but no one talks about it now ....it was just a flavour of month until a new song becomes hit.....the abhi mujh me is a reference because no other song came out in 2013-2020 time period which had longevity if agneepath still winning rewards and acknowledgement in present year 2021 it means it touched the souls of people and will be remembered for years to come

Sonu started fading when people started loving new voices for their mainstream music. Around 2007 it was Mohit Chauhan. His tum se hi, masakali, Rockstar's music got a lot of love. Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and his type of songs were also loved around the same time. Then a year or two later Arijit happened and game over. Arijit became the voice people liked listening to most.

Why didn't anyone tell me Mirchi Music awards is the most prestigious award a singer can win in India? Had I known I would've added Arijit Singh has 5 winner trophies and 19 nominations. Highest in both category of course because it hard to award people over him

Mohit chuahan never was a mainstream playback singer he became popular around 2010 with rockstar that just one album ,,,sonu was very much popular and in demand till 2012 ....he was consistent voice of khans , kumars and kapoors then ..... no matter arijit got limelight after 2013 but he is not half talented as Sonu in term of singing technicalities.... many arijits will come and go but none can achieve the level of perfection Sonu Nigam does any music director from past or present be it anu malik , himesh , pritam , mithoon hold higher regards to Sonu ...infact jeet ganguly said Sonu Nigam can do anything he gave Yeh Dil Dewana texture in 97 only when no one could have thought for such texture in songs ....he is regarded same status as Muhammad Rafi by Jeet Ganguly jeet in one of the interview said , eariler they used to say we have worked with rafi sahab or kishore kumar ....but i can proudly say that i worked with Sonu Nigam

Sonu nigam if not the best is one of the best singers. ❤️
