It's so well written, so well thought of 👏 . Every point of yours is so aptly justified Rimi. ❤️
I read a post of yours where you beautifully described the difference between attraction and love. I was very disappointed upon watching that episode, but your post gave me hope! I still did not comment there because I wanted to do it after they showed that concept. But makers proved us completely wrong. I said it just yesterday, in ITV there is no concept of attraction/infatuation and so is the concept of platonic love. There is either a love inspired from physical beauty and romance (which does not comes under the category of love actually) or a dull zimmedari.
We tried justifying him saying he is scared of accepting these things due to entire SR fiasco. But he himself accepted yesterday, he shouted at Bon, not because he was scared or he felt this was not the right age of Bon, but because he is in love with Manorama, extinguishing all our hopes in a snap!
We thought of a beautiful concept of love, a love so pure in itself but makers had to dissolve that, labelling it as attachment and what not. All those moments spent by Rudhita was not love but yes the pehli jhalak is touted to be love, REAL love as you say.
Just what I was thinking during the whole track. Anirudh's attraction, love whatever it is 🤢 could still be justified as long as he does not realizes that. The moment HE REALIZES he is in love with someone else, that is emotional cheating and that is in no way acceptable. About people feeling out of love in reality, yes that does happens but there is a way- MOVE OUT. Just clearly move out from the bonding that isn't making sense to you now.
But the thing is- is that what the show was about? To have perspectives and dilemma about one's emotions, falling out of love, is this called cheating or not? First and foremost they are dealing with a marriage in which the wife is a child. This kind of topics doesn't suit only in this case. How is a 12 year old going to understand these extremely complicated human emotions? That's the first spot of non-relatability. Secondly, the show was about a relationship that witnesses growth amongst all the stigmas of the society, that denies to be in the conventional form of marriage; about social reforms they bring TOGETHER; about women in a positive light. This extra marriage love, choosing zimmedari over REAL love was not at all the concept.
Highly saddened with the way Bon was shown yesterday. The Bon we knew would have atleast questioned about the atrocities inflicted upon her. She was made to perform Sati. Won't the curious and sensitive mind of Bon atleast question that to Ani? Won't she question that how come all those moments spent by them can only be labelled by him as attachment? I am not saying ki she needs to cry buckets or leave the house. But atleast she would have done that mooh-fulana, tarks and all just like she did in the Masterji case when Ani came home late. Bon has a pure heart- she has a very little ego and she does not know that her Patibabu is already in love with someone else. She is somehow not trying to give-up on remembering how Ani did not give up on her too. She is not ready to believe that all those moments was a lie because we ourselves, being adults, took a long time believing that and here she is of a small age and is the direct person involved. But they could have shown that keeping her age in mind. She was the one who forgave Ani after knowing about his engagement with Mini. That was how it was needed to be done, not as a typical 23 year old TV bahu with that shankh noise going on in the BGM, like you said - glorifying it. I feel on knowing about Ani's love, she might step back and SHE SHOULD, that is extremely needed but I highly doubt that upon seeing the recent doings of the makers. 🤢 Is she even mature enough to understand her patibabu's attractions? Difference between her and Mini- maybe she won't choose wrong paths to justify her love. 🤢
Also, I don't know about the upcoming tracks but proving a child marriage does not work or a child marriage is wrong was never the concept of the show. There is already a lot been said about it.
And yes, humiliating women in public needs to stopped asap!
Your viewpoint made me write a essay in the reply 🤣 . I guess everyone wanted to lessen their frustration after watching yesterday's episode. 💔
