VPS has maturity , confidence, self worth,years of wisdom. I can understand him being jealous of Karan or wonder if Purvi will fall for him. But VPS also knows Sapola has nothing to offer and Purvi is not shallow to fall for just anyone.
What I will find uncharacteristic of VPS is his reaction. Moving out of his trademarks to just appeal to Purvi seems quite shallow, petty for him to do.
