T Series pays for most of its views, likes and even subscribers so does it even count. At the end of the day a good song would get more views.

If trashy item numbers can garner millions of views then a well-sung, meaningful song like this deserves the billion. The lyrics of this song is beautiful and relative. Many people who have gone through some kind of heartache can empathise and feel a personal connection to it.

Also Rahat is popular and well-known in India, Pakistan, & Afghanistan. There is a lot of fans of this genre of songs, so obviously he is going to get views. If Jagjit Singh (may he rest in peace) were still alive today, his songs would also have reached this kind of viewership.
