More than movie makers and producers I blame the audience. Well I don't really blame them. It's a free world, like whatever or whoever you like. I just think it's hilarious when nepotism critics keeps trashing movie makers without trashing the audience. Look at fan followings of star kids and free media and press that surrounds them. Why wouldn't a businessman gamble/invest money on someone who has a higher chance of bringing more eyeballs to the movie? Even before social media, there was always hype around star kids. SM only made a bad situation worse.

There are other layers to this of course. Most of it is unfortunate and it will probably never go away. The one thing I wish Bollywood gadhes would work on is understanding that this is not like a doctor's kid becoming a doctor, or a parent helping his child by buying him a pencil. Acknowledge the privileges you have and work that much harder to prove yourself.

My opinion on this is really, really simple.

Insiders get movies cuz.... well, they're insiders.

Outsiders get movies by sucking up to the insiders and the one who beats em all to that blowie (figuratively and literally) gets the most amount of visibility.

Whoever doesn't see a problem with this system is either in denial or someone with a guilty conscience.

Thank you for reading.

We need sane voices against nepotism, not the usual crackpot Kangana, but someone who has the vision, the articulation, the sensitivity and the clout to voice out what is problematic about the system. I wish Taapsee/Anushka/Deepika/Vidya speak out against the system and how hard it is to be an outsider. All 4 are successful (to varying degrees) and have the necessary resources to speak up. People will actually listen to them more than that toxic Kangana,

Lets not decide who is sane and insane ... you want truth or you want truth coming from people who you approve of ? Why will Deepika , Anushka talk about it now ... they spoke about it a long time ago when they were new comers ... now they are also insiders.

Let’s not deny a human being of their truth just be coz we don’t like them. No one wants to open can of worms ...few business are as dirty as film industry.

There is nothing problematic about nepotism . It’s very simple , when you spend millions to groom ur child , pay for scripts, PR . You will do everything to make them succeed . Use all your clout and lobby machinery.

One has to agree to play this game if you want to be a movie star. It’s like taking abuse in a boxing rink . not everyone can be lucky . I don’t think Taapsee is particularly talented or even sane ...she learnt to adapt now she is slowly accepted into the fold ... not quite there but crawling her way . You must be Naive to think she will stoke the nepotism issue .

I’d rather watch Alia Bhatt than Tapsee ...after seeing Badla that movie was made in 3 different languages in long the original... Tapsee was the most underwhelming among all of them. Watch the south version ... Regina George nailed it .

And what will Deepika say ... few years down the lane she will be launching her own kids along with Ranveer .

It’s human psychology. People love privilege and desire it. They grudgingly love privileged people . That’s why star kids have more Instagram followers, endorsements etc .

Beyond a tiny point no one cares about talent or acting . The more unattainable something is the more desirable it gets . No one wants to be Sanya or Fatima . People want a life like Ananya , Suhana.Khanvi . Junta sees struggle on day to day basis and has no stomach for such people on screen also.

All online warriors given an option to be Ananya or so called talented Sanya .., they will choose Jhanvi or Ananya..,

These nepotism bashers never truly spend a moment or penny to appreciate or watch a movie of these so called outsiders.

FYI Deepika better not open her mouth against nepo; her patidev is an insider too . She dare not insult him .
and she is kinda privileged too, a daughter of famous world champ .
