No she hasn't played the same character in all her films, that's over-exaggeration.

So outsiders who are savvy and have made good connections are not "outsiders"? What kind of logic is that?

in any field, you have to make connections to survive. Yami would have been better off if she had made connections too.

Not necessary. I am surviving as a content writer without making any worthwhile connections. My only friends are those who work alongside me, and I carefully avoid making friends with any of the higher ups due to bad experiences with people of power.

Consider this. Say that Sara Tendulkar decides to debut in BW tomorrow, and then there's another Miss. XYZ who wants to do the same. Who do you think has a better chance?

Alia has 7 hit films as leading heroine in her 8 year old career.

Varun has 7 hit films as lead hero in his 8 year old career.

Shraddha has 7 hit films as leading heroine in her 10 year old career.

Tiger has 4 hits including a superhit and a BB in his 7 year old career.

Janhvi's debut film was a superhit and Gunjan got good TRPs on Zee Cinema given how many times they do a world premiere across their network channels.

Ananya has 1 hit film in her 2 year old career.

Sanya Malhotra has 0 hit films as a leading heroine in her 5 year old career.

Fatima Sana Shaikh has 0 hit films as a leading heroine in her 5 year old career.

Radhika Madan has 0 hit films as a leading heroine in her 3 year old career.

Avinash Tewary has 0 hit films as a leading hero in his 5 year old career.

Please tell me how the hell is nepotism killing business??? Nepotism exists because people exist who want to watch them and are obsessed with them. No one makes topics on nepo kids more than you in the forum. Even the fans of the nepo kids are not as obsessed with them as much as you are given your daily topics. So clearly forum ho ya real life they bring more attention that leads to more offers cuz they promise sure shot returns in most of the cases.

Also note that all the outsiders I've listed are better actors and have better filmography with huge critical reception to their films. So the whole argument of how these nepo kids get better films is a moo point.

Get out of your houses, go and watch a Patakha or a Photograph or a Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota or Laila Majnu and make them hits. No use sounding like a broken record. Nepo kids assure more business so no it isn't killing any business. Sad but true. Such is the world around.

Sara, of course! I'm not denying the role privilege plays.

All I am saying is if an outsider is trying their level best to cultivate connections in order to beat an insider who has triple the same number of connections, it should not be held against the outsider.

Networking, being savvy, building contacts are a necessary evil. That's the sad reality of the world we stay in.

The audience has made Deepika who she is anyways, not her connections.

I am an editor, and I network intensively outside of work hours. It helps my career prospects. Since I am ambitious, I like it that way. An idealistic society would work without connections, but that's not the way society operates.

Exactly. The movies an insider gets in the first year an outsider gets only after being able to prove themselves in other movies

And the hype.Just look at how the industry was going gung ho on that teaser of Gangubai on insta as if it the best masterpiece and Aloo is the best actor ever.Mass promotion. This would never happen if an outsider was starring in it.

Also blinds mostly against outsiders are so disturbing.Blinds on Sushant increased a lot post Dhoni’s success and that is so sad.I feel that is one reason for him to feel really down and disillusioned.Firstly the going is so difficult, and when you work hard and deliver a performance you are brought down by such distasteful articles.

As an outsider you really need to know how to network or else you ain’t getting movies no matter how talented you are.

Warriors may be trolls but one thing which Bollywood insiders have understood is that they will have to work hard and not take chances for granted.Like for instance Jhanvi has improved a lot in Roohi and IMO if this outrage wasn’t there pretty sure most of them would still be sleepwalking through their roles.

You said "survive," so I said it's not really necessary to just survive. I did not have to network extensively to make a career for myself. I'm also an introvert, and building connections scares the F out of me. šŸ˜†

DP became a star due to her fantastic debut. That sustained her through her early years, IMO. I remember watching OSO in the theatres, and everybody was talking about how DP is so beautiful. Even poor SRK was forgotten. Lol. šŸ˜†

I dare you to open threads on Ranbir, the way you open about DP.You don't care what happens in randomDP threads..but terrified to see what may happen in an RK thread.See the deception?

Nobody cares about who ,or where the actors come. They will like anyone who is deserving.

This forum had fans of male stars-they enthusiastically promoted them and posted numbers. Now they don't.Nor do the fans of senior heroines.Zabardasti threads are opened to attract fans..or to hype their own (Kjo's kitty). This forum is of no use to VD fans,Tiger fans,Ayushmann fans..Kartik fans..no one.there was a time RS fans descended here, thinking that they got support. But here, it was always about DP..and then using Alia as a stick or balm. They all left. Some are here..but they are not interested in other male stars..Kartik has got them interested to a certain extent.

But you know..It has been more than a decade..nothing went as supporters of this kitty wanted or worked and work so hard for.

You know why? support is needed only for those who need it.The needy need I-F.But I-F doesn't give back anything.

My favorite quote in this forum by me..jo darr gaya, woh marr gaya.

I never said you don't make topics on outsiders, I said no one makes as many topics about nepo kids like you do.

Just go to google/IF search bar and type 'mintyblue nepotism' and see how many topics you have made about the starkids. Where's the lie? šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø
