I hope this doesn't get merged with the Girl on The Train review thread because Pari's performance in Girl on The Train deserves a thread of its own!

Boy, what a performance! She has gone for the kill in this movie, and as the movie revolves around her character, she has succeeded and how! There are good performances- and then there are performances that take your breath away. Pari's stellar act falls in the latter category.

The best part is, she navigates the movie's murky landscape with this dexterous ease which she wears like a badge and with a steadfast conviction that just doesn't flag throughout the movie's running time. She displays a stunning range of emotions and these are etched on her face, in her body language, in her dialogue delivery, and in her tonality. Mira Kapur is a complex character under any circumstance and Parineeti plays with this complexity like an artist in awe of her own talent. She literally chews through the realm of emotions and transcends these to reach a level where we can hardly recognize the bubbly girl and feel blinded with sheer admiration.

The movie rests on her shoulders and she rises to the occasion with the adroitness which is the trait of an artist who is truly passionate about their craft.

Parineeti's dismal track record is not because of lack of talent but because she didn't have the right outlets to channelize her talent and here she is in her best form, crackling with electrifying energy which is untainted by the need to play to the gallery.

What a bravura performance. It will be talked about in years to come, and she has raised the bar for her colleagues with this top-notch, magnificent rendition of an alcoholic who is embroiled in grim situations. She clearly has what it takes. A performance that could have easily gone robotic or mechanical, in the hands of a less-gifted artist, takes on nuances and subtleties and reflexes which leave the viewer's senses tingling with satisfaction.

Well, long post over. Hope you guys share what you feel after watching the movie.
