India's Zimbabwe tour put on hold

Shah has revealed India's tour of Zimbabwe has been postponed

India's proposed one-day series in Zimbabwe has been postponed by the Board of Control for Cricket in India. Officials said the three-game tour could take place after the Indian Premier League season but that looks unlikely given a packed schedule. "The Zimbabwe tour has been put off indefinitely," BCCI secretary Niranjan Shah said. "We will have it after the IPL, or we'll try to fit it in at a later time. It is a minor thing."

The series, featuring three one-day internationals, is part of the International Cricket Council's mandatory future tours programme. India, who are currently hosting a Test series against South Africa, have a packed schedule for the remainder of the season. It was recently announced that they would be taking part in a one-day tri-series in Bangladesh between 8 and 14 June - just six days after the end of the IPL, which lasts 44 days.

India will also feature in the Asia Cup in Pakistan from 24 June to 6 July, and then tour Sri Lanka.
