I wish had her confidence, her belief in herself is something that i need to learn from her honestly. I think that's half the reason she's able to handle trolls with so much grace because she knows that you can't keep everyone happy and comparisons in life are common.

I really love that N5 was such a positive experience for her, shooting wise. Whatever else about the show, the writing, the TRPs etc., there was no tension or pettiness or controversies on the set between the cast...truly the best cast 👏❤️

Loved her answer about comparisons and negativity...she truly seems so sorted and balanced in herself that she doesn't take anything too seriously. Some others could learn a thing or two about how to answer a question about comparisons with others who've come before you 😳

Clearly her experience at n5 has solidified her "balaji is the best" vala feeling. I hope her future experiences are also like that🤞

IB and sanjivani made her a little cynical in this regard i think.. IB due to the way it ended and the whole controversy. And sanjivani toh i think mood used to be down on the whole set itself due to Trps..

Since she knows the craze for vani..i hope if a prospective sharbhi project comes her way, she accepts it!! Plleeeaajj get it done universe..🥺

I think we could all stand to learn a little something from this. I guess actors are more used to having to navigate this kind of situation, but esp Surbhi, whose popularity skyrocketed in such a short space of time. So along with the endless love she also gets more than her share of the negativity.

Honestly speaking, at times I feel at all the pouting and extraaaaaa photo sessions 😆 but then you watch something like this and you realise that underneath all that 'showbiz-ness', she's just a really chilled out, "normal" person. The rest of it is all window dressing. I really like that off-screen vibe of hers.

Makkis are never gonna ignore the honey 😆 but boy has she put him in his place enough times by now, and now in public too 🤣 meanwhile in the same IV talking about the sizzling chem with certain others ☺️❤️

Yeah I think the IB experience, as great as it was, probably left some emotional scars. Not only bc of the controversy but I also think that it being her first "proper" show (lead role wise), it was natural that it would be a tougher experience. I remember something she said in some live about how there were times on IB when she used to go home and cry to her mum that she didn't think she could do it (what "it" was, IDK, but probably the pressures of the role, or feeling like you weren't good enough or whatever), and how her mum used to give her the strength to keep going. I think she's learned lessons from that that went into the N5 experience. And then on top of that the environment of the set, the friendships with the cast, the Balaji pampering and experience (I feel like Gul was a taskmaster and EK has been a champion, BTS anyway)...as she said, it must have felt like a breeze in comparison to past experiences. I too hope every future experiences only builds on the positivity. Nobody wants to go to work and hate being there.

I hope both she and Sharu, knowing the craze for them to come together, will say yes to future projects together (but not an MV, please 😒).

@bold- oh this toh...i can't tell you how many times i get annoyed when she posts so many of her pics but then after contemplation i realise that her insta is very different from ours. For us, ig is somewhere you post 2-3 pics of a event as a memory or to show off...but for her it's her portfolio, her resume. She has to go all off with it😆

Yeah.. technically her career began in 2014 with haya ig, but the main thing began in 2016 with annika. 4 years and you have more fans and name than stars that have been in induatry for 10 -12 years. People do get jealous. But she's a likeable person in general. So the hatred she gets makes me sad for her. There's no arrogance or attitude, no airs of being a star. Hell, she treats her fans like friends and is so geniune.

The incident you're talking about was when IB began she had issues with emotional scenes esp. crying ones. So there were 2-3 times when lalit sir scolded her too much and she even complained regarding it to gul😆

Tho unrelated, but the amount the progess, i remember her 1st crying scene in IB when shivaay gives her cheque and says check mate. That scene was meh when it came to her. From that to seperation scenes in IB and her n5 scenes👏👏

Gul seems a much more involved producer than EK is. I think imo gul the previous vali Ek (kzk and kggk time vali EK... involved and strict).. although I don't know how ek was during that time soo🤷🏻‍♀️

Also again, IB also put a lot of pressure on her and nakul. IB began with a bang but after their 2nd marriage things kinda got rough. In one iv shrenu even says that they didn't know when the shooting will stop as the trps were so down. And since shivika...narbhi were the usp of the show they must've faced enormous pressure. Even if not through words, actions and vibe kinda lets you know ki expectations hai tumse.

EK gives her actors more chances and space. Even if they make mistakes or are not able to own up to roles...imo she lets them try again.

Viewers issues with EK aside, as a actor you certainly would want a producer like EK. That's what sc has now and i think she'll maintain that rapport with her and is gonna be a part of balaji camp.

As for sharbhi, since last few days (all that twitter faisco), I'm soo glad that they're so protective of their bond. People have a habit of dissecting every word and sentence and tone and inferring their own meaning from it. And sm might not be active on twitter, sc is!! However, sorted and chilled out a person be, sometimes some words pinch and you can't do anything about it.

LOL really? I had no idea about that. Yeah I guess if I go back and re-watch those early scenes there were times I didn't connect with her tears either, but like you said, the improvement was visible by the end of IB, and now in N5.

I think you're bang on with Gul being the early-days EK. I don't know if you were here when I was telling Huma this but Sakshi Tanwar once talked about how involved EK used to be in KGGK, and how scary it was to see her name on your phone, because you knew you'd messed up...she used to scold them if the TRPs went down even by 1 (in the days when KGGK went from 21 to 20 TRPs wise ) and how she even once told ST off for performing a scene badly (acc. to her) and when ST said "shall we reshoot?", EK basically said no, let people see what you've done 😲. So she was definitely a lot scarier and hotheaded back in the day, though I think she's mellowed somewhat now. And I guess having so many shows on your books it's hard to be hand-on with them all.

I remember seeing something from Shrenu like that after the show took its DIB leap. She was like, we lived in fear of the show shutting up shop every day/week. And yes, the leads will ofc feel that pressure most keenly. As with N5 where Vani were the only thing that sustained the show, IB was mostly afloat bc of Shivika. Those who are first on the call sheet will always feel that enormous sense of responsibility - you are literally responsible for hundreds of people's jobs.

That's probably why her removal from the show must have stung even more. To go from being one half of the reason people loved the show to being unceremoniously booted out bc the producer thought you weren't necessary for the TRPs to rise must have been a hell of a smarting. Which is why I'm gleeful in the fact that DIB barely last 3 months without SC 😆. She/Anika were the jaan of that show as far as I was concerned.
