I don’t think they’re back to square one. They wanted to portray the family dynamics in the pickle scene and Veer did look at her kindly three times throughout that scene. I also took the glance of Veer before eating as “eat as you like”. It wasn’t an emotionless glance.

I feel she is closer to Veer than ever. She did get hurt but all the things that Veer did for her and her family in Balia, she will not forget that. Plus she understood his reasons for doing what he did. Thats what her monologue implied. The way she followed Veer and watched him throughout the Ranisa-Veer scenes was her care and worry towards Veer. She was worried Veer will have to face the wrath of bringing her back. The way their conversation ended, it was on a good note.

But I agree Rani won’t blindly trust anyone now and will try to be as independent as she can be. RanVeer’s relationship will grow slowly compared to Balia. Balia was almost a spike up. Now both of them will have other things to focus on simultaneously like evil Ranisa.

100% agree with that. It won't be a quick uo graph. From now, Rani will continue to appreciate Veer but will also make sure to put her name on the map too. She will be more resilient now.
