What is purvi's age ?

Around 19 yrs old. Thats what the synopsis and articles said by colors tv I had read before this show started.

So Purvi is 19, and I think Priyashi is 17/18

Purvi is 19 (That's what almost all the article stated and Priyal had once confirmed it as well)

Virendra is probably 41 or 42... I had read one article before the show even came that Amar is playing 42 year old widower VirendraPratapSingh

I was expecting this post the moment I saw this topic.

So what is weird?

19 is a legal age right for girls? And 42 is double the legal age for men no?

Or has our government passed some law suggesting that an age gap between a married couple is wrong? Or is this some secret standard of the society? Because I see couples with a significant age difference all around me, leading perfectly happy lives.

Please give me some clarity on why this is weird.

I think under the circumstances (Molkki tradition) it’s a bit odd

The whole point for an old widower to get married to the youngest legal aged girl they can is kind of perverse and exploits those that are poor and helpless (not that it was VPS intention but it’s the premise of what Molkki tradition has become)

If Purvi and VPS had gotten married under more fair and equitable circumstances then I think the age difference would be ok.

Same if it was 20 yr old guy marrying 35 year old woman ..as long it’s fair circumstances then it’s fine

It's a sad realityof our society but I think MS first kind of made a quality checklist for to be wife of Vir coz she won't be just vir's wife but also mother of his kids and the mukhiyain of the revari village and purvi met that criteria that's why they chose her (I might be completely wrong here 🙈 please don't judge) * only valid for VPS case baaki to again sad reality check
