Most of the PH are like that only not just Ekta and Gul. Gul is fond of M&B novels so shove them on viewers while Ekta is doing this from long. It started from Kutumb in 2001. In that ML even raped FL but still they got back together. Same happened with few more shows where ML raped FL and they got back together. I think people protested so she shifted to supporting characters getting raped. In 1 show she shown 1 of FL raped by her husband but then divorced him and married the ML and later the husband own mom killed him. In YHM FL sister husband tried to rape her. In YHM, FL's sister in law's husband tries to rape her(not sister's husband).I'm not sure if you've seen this track! But it was one of the best handled tracks of ITV. Ishita was one force to reckon with, in that track.Bhallas throw her out of the house suspecting her of adultery but they ended that track well with Raman proving her innocence and properly apologising her and bringing her back home

And the second sequence where Raman threatens her also happened ( in Mani's track after time slot change). And thet faced a LOT of backlash after that sequence( by online fans) and they changed the track overnight due to that. With the time slot change, the show lost its charm & they used to bring shitty tracks for TRPs. And this Mani's track I'm talking about brought YHM to no.1 position. So huge fault lies with audience also

But trp pressure toh first episode se hi rehta hai.....nd oroducers knws the mindset of itv viewers ussike hisaab se content banayenge na....and waise woh joh office track tha uss time ipkknd ki trp bahut low aarahi thi....gul ne ek IV me bola bhi tha she dont bring office track in her shows bcz usne ipkknd me office setup pe bahut kharcha kiya but bcz of low trp office track abruptly end karke fam drama lana pada tha so office setup waste hogya....so trp pressure tha uss time bhi.....btw iska matlb yeh nhi jo gul tv shows me dikhati hai mai ussko support karta hu.
