Reminded me of the Rahul G-Modi hug for some reason. They probs wanted to showcase that she was also in panic and needed a support system. Sometimes I feel like even though initially the intent of the 8-year friendship was to shield the EMA, somewhere Kavya had come to consider Anu as a friend in some sense. She was merely sharing the pain maybe?

Again, Kavya's problem is that in her jealousy form she fails to see Anupama's attempt to not care for Vanraj.
