What I don't 100% get is why Malhar was sabotaging her.

Is it because he knew Minister was setting her up? So he made it so with his creative pushinents that she couldn't go to work or attend any meetings? That way, Minister doesn't have any way of framing her.

Even that day, she was supposed to meet with the Minister but Malhar made it so that she couldn't meet him.

So Kalyani just looks like a poor employee, but as we know with government jobs, its hard to fire for being a bad employee. But easy to fire for corruption or bribery.

Only odd event was the SR night. But that may have been real. Like he found out how the Deshmukhs blackmailed Swara and got angry.
