That's because RCE promoted Deepika like crazy. YRF didn't give Anushka any publicity because they wanted her to look new on screen. Their promotions were different. Hell, Rab Ne was the first movie that released after a terrorist attack. They barely did any promotion because of that.

The end result was the same. Both of them are successful actresses while people like Sonakshi and Sonam faded away.

In solo heroine projects, both Deepika and Anushka get very similar openings so no big difference there either. In fact, so many A-list actresses have gotten higher than 4 crore openings in the past. Kareena had Heroine at 7 or 8 crores and Veere was 10. Priyanka had Mary Kom which did much better than Chhapak too though she's lost her star power now. Kangana has also gotten better openings.

Just because Deepika's PR screams about her being superstar nonstop doesn't mean others are below her.

Additionally, I don’t understand the double standard either. When Kat, Anushka, & Kangana get < 5 crore openings, they rightfully are called flops. But when highest paid actress of the lot DP does it, suddenly its a marker for “success”? And a starlet Kiara is held to her “standard” as conparison....none of this makes any sense😆

Wtf are you judging me for? Kiara fans started it long ago with their 4 cr opening chant bashing Deepika in every thread. Don't act dudh ka dhula and blame deepika fans for everything. Kiara fans started bashing Deepika first and brought it on themselves.

🤣 best films? Anushka's acting career has ended because of working with Floppy in films like Jab Harry Met Sejal and Zero.

I don't even like her. But I think she is the pioneer in film production among Bollywood actresses.
