Nah, colloquial use and dictionary definition aren't the same thing. Generally the term authoritative is used (in a negative context, as Rahul was using) to mean bull-headed and egocentric. Nothing wrong with the way they are using the word.

Rahul is saying in a negative way however the fact is that Rubina is very confident and clear while Rahul is an uneducated baffoon

Rubina is authoritative— and I mean in the same meaning as wat Rubina herself and Rahul took it as

Authoritative, dominating and does not let anyone else speak (including her husband). All this shows her as self centered and over confident (not at all in positive way). In game and in real life one can be all the above but with that one also needs to be humble and respectful while making the point. Even if the other person in speaking in normal tone, she just starts shouting and proving her point one way or other which in most cases makes no sense.

I didn't understand what was the need to fight like this. Both of them could have avoided the fight but no they think by fighting and shouting they will look good
