As SH once said, and I am quoting him/her:
"Despite their success - even some massive successes, I still feel like no one really cares about them.
They’re doing well but there is no hype or heavy public interest.
their success is much different than say a Ranbir or Kangana. When a Ranbir strikes all chords he delivers a Sanju..... when a Kangana delivers she gives us Queen or TWNR. Their good work goes viral , everyone goes crazy and everyone is so damn appreciative .
I don’t see that kind of hysteria or appreciation with Alu and Ayu. Despite doing everything right and hitting bullseye - phir bhi kuch kami hai.
Ayushman-Alia don’t have that kind of registration with the public. Alia and Ayushman win lots of awards and get a lot of media recognition...... but the respect isn’t there. Even when they do good.... nobody TRULY cares
Despite having the perfect cocktail, nobody seems to wanna drink it."
They are the two best examples of today's generation and what they prefer. Neither of them mass hysteria or vociferous fans, but what I get is that there is an innate belief in these two and the content they do. There is a confidence they will come up with good content. I don't know how else to label them. They both have the neutral audience hooked.
On the other hand, people like Deepika and Salman enjoy loud fans, I think these two have the most ardent fandoms, but in terms of neutral audience, they fall behind.
This neutral audience, I suspect, is growing bigger and bigger and the key to captivating or engaging this audience lies in the hands of those who are smart and strategic enough to carve a niche for themselves. Alia and Ayushmann are both strategic enough, there is no craze around them, but they have box-office pull.
They are following in the footsteps of Aamir.
Do you agree/disagree?
