Great post Amrita , i totally agree with you.Values r not something to talk abt but to apply, she should have started with her grand daughter, she should have raised her well and implanted thos principales and values in her.

Why this difference between beti and bahu? Ishani is spoilt but dadi has that authority and ability to handle her like she did during the lehenga giving ceremony. Then why not now?

I agree dadi should not differentiate between granddaughter and granddaughter-in-law. If she wants Riddhima to wear sindoor and mangalsutra then she should expect same from Ishani.

I feel these suhaagan ki nishani doesn't define a relationship. Sirf pyaar hi matter krta hai. Agar aap ye nahi bhi pehnte to iska matlab ye nahi h ki you don't value your marriage. As vansh said hamara rishta is mangalsutra aur sindoor ka mauhtaj nahi.

During the KC day morning Daadi itself said Ishani should learn the traditions and sanskaar so it’s time Daadi teaches this main sanskaar to her ladli pothi as well.

Daadi keeps saying Riddhima is like her Beti jesi! Then why this discrimination? Beti maanti hu toh let the real Beti of that house too behave like a married woman

I think because Riddhima values/believes in these things that's why she keeps requesting/reminding her. For ridhdima marriage was/is a huge thing

And Ishani doesn't believe in these things that's why she doesn't bother at all, she cannot force her to do it. For Ishani, it's not something that huge. She's somewhat similar to vansh here I guess. If she falls in love, she'll start respecting and will start following it

And also IshAngre are not a lead couple, mahan banna aur mahaan (ILLOGICAL) things are expected from leads

I don't think there's any partiality here coz there has been a lot of moments/instances where dadi favoured riddhu ignoring the other ladies (they totally deserved that while riddhu earned it)

Dadi is my least favorite character.

Consciously or subconsciously she is very much aware of the truth of their marriage & relationship. She knows that her pota forced her to this relationship. She doesn't love him in fact despise him. I guess she is also aware of vansh's obsession for riddhu. She doesn't want vansh to get hurt in love. She is super protective to her. & knows riddhu's nature very well. She is not kind of person who can be controlled by rules & regulations or intimidation. In case of ish she does fight with her big bro but she is also shit scared whenever vansh loses her cool. They know (v & d) they can control her. Ish doesn't have that much guts to break her bhai's rule though she tried once with that bhagne ka plan from shaadi. So she is not gonna leave angre. But ridz is the one who breaks every rule of vansh. In short these ms & sindoor give this dadi & pota assurance that she is not gonna leave vansh ever. She is very much there for vansh.

P.S.: You're right. There is obviously hypocrisy & partiality. I'm just trying to make some sense.
