A mother in law has a very important role in a couple’s relationship. In this case Leela was saying this from day 1 that anupama is not ideal for her son. She accepted that she always saw her flaws never appreciated her. This laid foundation of their marriage n Vanraj never considered her equal n loved her. Her constant brainwash made their marriage a burden. she didn’t allow Anu to study, become modern n connect with the outside world.

Instead of making efforts to make their bond strong she always criticized Anu, her family n Vanraj’s Dadi’s bad choice.

The good difference between the Bengali version and this one is that no one will speak against Anupamaa.

Leela shows a lot of anger but eventually will miss her son because blood is thicker than water. Also probably Pakhi will support Vanraj but not Samar and Paritosh if it goes as per Marathi version.

Once Vanraj actually initiates divorce legal proceedings is when it will actually reveal who takes whose side. Till then it will all be a deadlock that AnuRaj not being able to stay under the same roof and Vanraj constantly complaining on why he is being mistreated because of an outsider.

Absolutely! On point. She is the one to blame. Wait n watch. She'll be the one stopping bapuji from throwing V out of the house and blaming Anu for this crap n mess.

True. A MIL is imperative for a bahu to be able to strive in her sasural. For now I am only thankful she atleast took Anu's side while also making a valid point that the kids may have to suffer in relationships due to V's mistakes. Although that does not mean his izzat needs to be protected by letting him live in the house.
