The Philosopher has high hopes from Baa!

As part of my phenomenology (subjective experience), I think somewhere down the line I stopped seeing the actor and started focusing on who the character is. For this reason, I am sometimes extremely curious and become engrossed as to how some characters often behave. You could say, I sometimes put aside my idea of reality. I forget temporarily that I am watching a fictional T.V. Show.

Of course, this story is Anupamaa’s but without those around we would probably understand her less. We do not doubt Bapuji’s feeling for Anupamaa and some other house members. I will not address Toshu’s view here at all. Baa’s behaviour towards Anupamaa has always been grey. I could never make up mind about whether she really is as tough as she seems. Or she’s just basically trying to be her mother-in-law but in fact she is actually just hiding behind her pressure from the historic behaviours.

But since the day she argued against Rakhi and reprimanded for her saying: say whatever you may but not to my daughter-in-law and when she asked Anupamaa how she feels about Anirudh’s accusation, I have always been tempted to think that she does have a soft corner for Anupamaa after all.

I am really hoping that the precap of Tuesday’s episode, where they walk into his moment shame with Kavya and Baa slaps Vanraj while regretting he is her son and turns around to Anupamaa. I hope this moment really is all Baa’s and how she does not too stand cheating. I hope she takes the betrayal and becomes a companion for Anupamaa and I hope she understands then the change in her daughter-in-law and how despite Vanraj’s betrayal she didn’t leave their sound and has in fact become even caring for them.

I actually feel so much hope from Baa. It’s like my heart is my throat for Anupamaa. I am having such a pleasant experience of seeing this show from the start. Perhaps, a little more now than before. The dialogues are wonderful and everyday you see a passion to learn something new. I know it is only a show, but I’m so deep into the show. I think I love the show! It’s been a long time since I’ve actually enjoyed a show.

What do you all think? Will Baa surprise us (I won’t be since I’m hoping she will anyway)? Or will she blame Anupamaa? You see, I think given the way story is going forward, I think it would make sense it for it to get stronger. It would totally ruin the whole all going good streak they have going on.

I hope Leela meets my expectation.

Ba has always supported her son and doesnot hesitate to thow Anu under the bus. Thiswas seen when she demanded Kavya gets out but pulled a fast one she didnt. At every stage even if Vanraj is the wrongdoer she expects Anu to shoulder the blame. After slapping the son she will turn to Anu and ay its her doing.

As you said, Baa's character is grey which makes her more human and relatable. Apart from the incidences you pointed out, she supported Anupama going against her son when he was trying to blame her in the hospital for bapuji's health.

But then she did not like it when Anupama started driving or when she got her first paycheck on diwali or when bapuji also named Anu as a homeowner. She however did not express her displeasure on Anupama as she always does which is also due to the fact that Bapuji stops her from doing that a lot more now.

All this makes her so unpredictable that I'm thinking she might support Anupama in the beginning but might succumb to her maternal instincts in future fully realising in her heart that her son was wrong at the same time.

I hope so as well, but Baa has grey shades, she supports her son and Anupama. Baa will be angry but I know, she will blame Anupama, something of the mentality, 'if you don't keep your husband happy, he will stray' crap. Of course babuji, everyone will support Anupama. Lets see how it goes but my guess will be Baa will support Anupama but do a u turn.

I do hope what you said do come true but I can clearly see that not happening. Yes first she will get angry at Vanraj and support Anupama. But then Vanraj will very easily cajole her into thinking that he made a mistake and he is ready to move one. She will ask Anupama to forgive and forget.

As far i know that vanraj Dont want to marry anupama and even leela did not want anupama as her Daughter in law

It is because of vanraj ' grand mother wish vanraj marry anupama out of majboori and and even leela has to accept anupama as bahu only because of leela ' s mother in law wish

So may be vanraj meri shaadi jabardasti karayi gayi woh to main apni dadi ki wajah se anupama se shaadi ki to may be leela support her son on this because leela also never wanted anupama as her bahu

The show has always shown her to support vanraj but it has constantly shown indirectly how she would support Anupama if there is case of cheating.. she had doubt earlier and have questioned Anu.. also while scolding Any of not caring for her son.. it has shown how she does not even consider cheating as an option.. I feel she will support Anu
