Are web series' (OTT content) going to be censored now?

As we all know, the OTT sphere is now officially under the I&B Ministry. So are we only going to get sanskaari content now? What do you think?

Censor board members need bribes to survive. As threatres are closed, no movie comes to them for clearance. They are controlling OTT due to this reason.

Any central government has a lot of influence on censor. During Indira Gandhi's rule, INC did not allow the movie Aandhi to release in the threatres. It was inspired for Indira Gandhi's life. Later when the movie was released on threatres and doordarshan it was super hit.

All Alt Balaji's writers are going to do now is set Gandi baat in the villages with women in sarees, it has culture, will be their claim and no army uniforms will be torn😆

netflix and Amazon had already been asked to keep a tab sexual and the violent content of the shows, after Mirzapur and Sacred Games.

But the govt cannot let trash continue on TV and intefere with some good content that's actually on OTT platforms.

But I think scenes with drugs, sex scenes and violent scenes will be reduced. BJP will not be allowed to show in dark light in any shape or form, and there will be 6538 more biopics on Modi (There is already one on one of the OTT platforms, I forgot which one) and more army related shows maybe introduced.

This has actually affected Mirzapur, the earlier season was much more gritty. Kallen Bhaiya driving over a cut off finger in S01E01 was one of the best openings ever, but this seasn gave a bit of grittiness and the only scene that was gritty enough to match S01 was Guddu beating up the barber.

Isn't there any way to safeguard against this? We'll have no more shows like Sacred Games, Made in Heaven or Mirzapur if this continues.

Thankfully 377 was repealed during BJp, or else same sex couple scenes and stories would have been affected too, though with censor board, you cant say anything about this😵 thankfully its not Pahlaj on the main chair in censor board, or else pakka he would have removed same sex couple stories, women being open about sexuality and drugs
