That is true atleast south movies have some stories in movies

Compared to Bollywood majority movies south majority movies have a good story (dubbed ones i watched few on TV)

Especially in 90s and till 2008 south movies content much superior to bollywood movies by all angles

Even today the percentage of movies with good content better in south compared to bollywood (most bollywood movies steal or copy story all salman movies are south he must than south from 10 flops they made him super star, even movie like darr already similar movie in the south before darr released only)

Even music better in the south than in Bollywood

I am well aware of Telugu and Tamil movies. I have just pointed out how Mahesh babu looks better than Ranbir Kapoor and other Telugu actors and some Tamil actors who look better than Bollywood actors. The TM was comparing the beauty of the Bollywood industry which usually recruits Punjabis and other north Indians to south Indian men. He/she wants to show superiority over south Indians. I just proved that person wrong by giving out some south top actor names who look better.

To answer the TM's question. Not all Bollywood actors are better looking compared to south actors.

I was just being sarcastic by saying that compare Bollywood stars to south uncles, if it would make him/her feel better about north Indian good looks.

Yeah exactly... I find it strange when people say South industries are "more accepting of weight, dark skin, average looks" because that all seems to apply only to men, and mostly nepo product men at that 😕

When it comes to heroines in Telugu industry they seem to have decided that let alone taking a curvy, dusky, Telugu girl they are going to bypass Telugu girls all together and take the fairest, skinniest, North Indian girls they can find, who often don't even speak the language...

I've got nothing against any of these actresses, but people like Tamanna and Hansika don't even look like average Punjabi girls, let alone Telugu or Tamil... why don't us South women get to see heroines who look somewhat similar to most of us on screen too??

The struggle for the actor to appeal to the audience is hard, Vijay Sethupathi is currently ruling but that guy doesn't come under the "Good looking" category! When we had a Jallikattu protest, actors came to the streets and sat with us till we got justice, they didn't just TWEET, they actually came down!

The thing here is Bollywood actually pretend like they are the only entertainment industry in the india so they give unnecessary hype to themselves.

Gully boy makes it to the Oscars, the same year we had Vada Chennai which actually had a story and a women who was recognised for her performance than male protagonist. Forget this, there are so many regional movies like Marathi etcetera which are dubbed and telecasted here, which are worth the award doesn't even get recognised! If bollywood stop giving a damn to looks and partying, they might actually receive the recognition from the other side of India.

Ram Charan , Jr NTR , Allu Arjun( these guys literally carry the film on their shoulders) .... you just cannot compare the effort they put with Kapoors, khans or Bachchans .

These guys work so hard to not bring bad name for family on screen whereas BW kids mooch off family name only while giving free lecture on their struggles.

If the OP likes only fair skinned guys (gori chamdi) then we have so many of those . Our most spoofed Balakrishna is fairer than ur khans put together.

All of Nag sons , Navneeth , Naga Shourya etc etc..many many more are fair skinned.

Aren't Tamanna and Hansika yesterday's news?

It's Rashmika Mandanna, a Southie everywhere and she does dub her dialogues in Telugu.... Even, Pooja hedge dubs in Telugu and is the flavor of the season.... Samantha is half Telugu and Anushka Shetty at the age of 39, still getting great work....

Also, Rashmika Mandanna does represent south Indian girls...... So does Samantha.....

From Hollywood to whatever wood women are expected to be glam dolls..... So, it's not just the South Indian industry..... Even in Bollywood, we have Katrina Kaif, Nora Fateh, and Jacqueline....... They are not even from our country..

I do agree that the south industry's acceptance of a different color, size, and shape is just restricted to men..... They do have a storyline that serves launde lapade, who dream of getting a skinny, fair, tall rich girl.... Especially the Telugu industry. I am not complaining as sometimes I do enjoy the plotline.... But, it's high time Tollywood starts recruiting women from their region. Who knows they might spot a Sridevi or a Jayaprada.....

I do find the Malayalam industry more liberal though.....

Only for flower pot roles. They never hire northie girls for role based movie. I am a telugu person , I have never seen Tamanna and Hansika kind of girls doing author backed roles in Telugu.

There is a world beyond High budgeted top 4 heros based movies in telugu which non telugu people never even watch and judge.

Even comedians get better pay and roles than Northie girls ...flower pot roles. There arrive in a scene before song and leave ...same templete for 4-5 songs then take a family pic at the end credits.

A lot of telugu girls even refuse to do those roles .
