I do feel there is an untold story about Binoy and Aniruddh's mother.

I also always felt he loved his wife a lot, maybe thats why never married again. It seems she passed away quite young.

And he was telling Ani multiple marriages rutba badhati hai something but he himself never married even though his wife is dead

he isn't a feminist so the Rasiya thing doesn't matter in his case for me (not saying it is right)

but marriage is commitment, its based on love and if Binoy chose not to do that again then surely he should have loved his wife a lot and losing her may have put this fear inside him of losing his loved ones, especially Aniruddh whom he loves the most, causing him to try to control Ani as much as possible.

Aniruddh should have countered his argument with that question though.
