Do not like ks ending. I left the theater with this ending in my head.

So this is after preety slaps the jerk and gets her closure. He goes on his bike to share the news with his family. He meets with an accident and dies. This makes preety sad and she cries few tears. The person who causes the accident, Raj is devastated knowing their story. Raj does not reveal who he is and gets closer to her family. He wins them over with charm and tact and does not slap the girl's father. He clears their misunderstandings and the parents seeing their daughter in such a bad situation repent and allow her to live her life her way. Preety cannot be immersed in her misery as she has a child to care for. Raj begins to care for her and the child initially due to his role in the accident but the care turns to love. He confesses about the accident to her and she slaps him few times - well that's preeti. Finally they get together, make love and order pizzahut pizza and live happily ever after. Bg music: Tum bin.

It's not like it was a one sided fight. Kabir Singh was above Raj by almost 10% when I made the above post. It again became a close fight after this thread got bumped because of my post, as some people voted for Raj. Few more votes to DDLJ and it would again get an edge over Kabir Singh.

Kabir Singh was deranged. He was a twisted individual, a dysfunctional character with no redeeming qualities except that he was a brilliant student and later a successful surgeon. He was not a healthy lover, he was obsessive and wanted to possess the individual completely. All the signs point towards narcissistic personality disorder.

Raj was not perfect, but he deeply loved and respected Simran. He was a product of patriarchy also, but he wasn't a shitty person. He wanted to do the right thing and maybe that right thing was not the ideal thing, but he wanted to make his love's family accept their union, which isn't such a bad thing.

I voted and made it 49% for Raj. Will dissect those two some other day ✌️.

@bold this , I refuse to believe what Kabir felt towards Preeti was love . that was his obsession and whatever they had was so unhealthy and destructive ..

Not even a fan of SRK but raj n kabir can't be in the same bracket. And Kabir is in the lead to win the poll too😆.

I did not like how raj used mandira's character to get Simran. That was the shitiest for me.

But Kabir and his lover are way to despo and regressive for me.

I am still shocked at this poll lol. Kabir Singh doesnt deserve to be called a hero - he is actually a villain in life of his parents, his girlfriend, his football team, best friend and everyone else. The first time he makes out with Preeti..the girl was badly injured in the foot..it was just shocking for me. He slapped her, he treated her like thrash, spoke rudely to literally anyone around him..was the most annoying piece of shit - this man. I am shocked with Preeti also..what a rubbish character - her boyfriend will tell her - chunni upar karo yaa phir moti ladki se dosti karo - and she like a doormat was following his orders

How are we even comparing this crap couple to Raj and Simran - 90s was a different time - innocent, sweet romance - what are people even analyzing DDLJ to be lol..it was every girl's dream back then to be Simran and find her Raj. I doubt anyone is idolizing Kabir and Preeti as an ideal couple.
