How are we even comparing this crap couple to Raj and Simran - 90s was a different time - innocent, sweet romance - what are people even analyzing DDLJ to be lol..it was every girl's dream back then to be Simran and find her Raj. I doubt anyone is idolizing Kabir and Preeti as an ideal couple.

Unless abusive relationships are ideal romance for people these days.

Also, preeti has to be suffering from some issues if she is so happy being treated like that. No one with an ounce of self respect would be happy to be treated like this.
