A2 easily for me. Ranjhanna had one good song for me otherwise it was not on par with A2
Actually both are awesome. But Tum tak & ranjhanna have different kinda of vibes ❤️
It's about a lover's appreciation/obsession while Ashiqui is about Rahul /Arohi's love - a couple's love. It has got its own magic.
Can't compare ❤️
But we definitely don't have much good songs depicting one sided love/crush like raanjhna
Aashiqui 2. No contest, haven't seen anyone giving a flying fuck about Raanjhana or its songs.
Popularity wise A2 wins but personally I am not much fond of that kind of music (I don't know if there is particular genre to classify it but the kind of songs in Bhatt movies are all same). Rehman on the other hand is pure genius. I don't know if he deliberately tries to do it or it just happens but each and every soundtracks fit perfectly in the theme and mood of the movie, so much that it just blends beautifully and organically with the cinematography and I am not just talking about the songs but even the background music. 'Tum Tak' trumps 'Tum hi Ho' for me.
Aashiqui 2 songs make me nauseous. I can’t listen to them or watch them anymore.
Raanjhanaa for me, by miles. Best song picturization any BW film has had in recent years (or ever!!) that I can think of. The songs are like the film's second skin, and don't sit on the film like flashy pieces of jewelry.
Not only is its music about being pleasant to the ears, but the melody, lyrics, and picturization of each song just brought alive a certain emotion on screen: all-consuming devotional love (tum tak), madness of love (title track), etc. While the film's essence in itself is unique from any other BW love story, the music just catapults it to another level of emotional high.
The best complement I can give to Aashiqui 2 album is that it contained some of the best songs from the Ankit Tiwari-Jeet Ganguly school of drab, slow romantic music- a style I have never been a huge fan of.
