1 man treated as an object is a problem to that one man. One man or men treated as object(s) is not an issue because it's just not even close to that level yet where it will be a societal problem.

I don't have a problem with valid arguments. I'm not one of those whose sole purpose is to win in an argument by hook or crook. I like it when the opposite side also gives good arguments as it helps everyone to see a topic from different angles.

What I have a problem with is this whataboutery. Your whole argument is standing on the fact that most men don't face objectification, so it's okay to objectify them in movies. But it's not okay to objectify women in movies because they face it everywhere. When objectification shouldn't be tolerated for any gender.

I made a topic on objectification of men and you did your whataboutery by saying it doesn't matter because it happens much more with women.

You brought the whataboutery of "What about the women?". I was not justifying objectification on women, but you kinda justified objectification of men by bringing women into equation.

This is not whataboutery. I only made comparison of both objectifications to show that the chair comparison was an objectification. I didn't give justification for objectification of women by giving this example.

Whataboutery has to be a counter argument in the first place. This was my first post from where this thread started.

We can also argue that how some type of “flirting” can be called sexual harassment on both sides- it can be harmless or makes someone very uncomfortable. It also depends on the intent of the person, the tone and whether or not it feels violating.

Well, that's a FACT. Women face very real consequences of objectification, men DO NOT. So this debate is essentially centered around a non-issue.
