How to understand & sympathise with a 'grey character'

So we always keep hearing that Kuhu has never been properly understood by the viewers & all that she craves for is love & support. * edited by DT* how she is an eternal victim who deserves more understanding. Weirdly Abir & Mishti or even Kunal are always held responsible for their actions & they are required to face all the consequences yet Kuhu gets passionate lectures on & off screen in her defence. So here it is.

Let's agree that Abir sucks. He is a freeloader who kept leaving the house. He has been a horrible son, horrible brother, horrible husband & horrible bro and he doesn't deserve any sympathy.

Let's also agree that Mishti sucks. She is an annoying cry baby who loves victimising herself and has tortured Kuhu all her life. She deserves everything that's happening to her & doesn't deserve any sympathy either.

Finally, Kunal also sucks. He is a blind brother, sick husband & basically a pathetic human who doesn't deserve an incredible wife like Kuhu.

BM & BP are evil and suck and thank God they left the show .

Now that this is sorted, let's come to the best character of the show. The eternal victim who has carried this show on her shoulders & who has brought in all the hype and TRPs (Shaheer Sheikh & Rhea Sharma who). Let's analysis and understand each of her actions cuz well, she deserves it

Kuhu called Mishti a puppy- So what? Puppies are supposed to be cute and it's a compliment

Kuhu used Mishti's email ID & got her into trouble- Again so what? She did it for useless ungrateful Kunal

Kuhu says tu bas hai to Mishti- It's true na? What's wrong in what she said?

Kuhu pushes Mishti down during dahi handi- This was Abir's fault cuz he challenged Mishti. Also MishBir got to romance after this & it actually brought them closer which gets ignored by ungrateful fans

Kuhu calls Varsha & tries to expose MishBir before the fam- Again, she was just helping the family to find out about MishBir. It eventually ended with BP giving a green signal to their shaadi which was the motive behind the exposure in the first place

Kuhu slaps Mishti before marriage & steals her mandap- So what? Mishti deserves ten more slaps. And she stole the mandap cuz she wanted Mishti to be innovative & have a memorable shaadi on the bus top

Kuhu mixes sleeping pills- Well she just wanted Abir to have a good night's sleep. Also she knows Abir is super cute when he is high & she just wanted MishBir to have fun forgetting all their worries

Kuhu checking Abir's laptop & phone during PTSD track- Well duh. She just wanted to find out and help cuz she can't handle her family in any kind of trouble

Kuhu not apologising during magazine track- Well why should she? She deserved to be on the cover & useless Mishti stole the limelight. In fact she deserved a slap for it

Kuhu saying Mishti doesn't deserve to be a mom- Well it's pregnancy hormones. Also it's not really wrong know? We have already established Abir and Mishti suck in every department. And Kuhu is just showing them the mirror

Kuhu plotting to show Mishti in bad light- What's wrong in that? She wants to expose Mishti for the horrible person that she is & protect her husband from his bhaiya & bhabhi

Kuhu calling out Mishti's fashion sense- Again I will say suck it up. A fashionista has every right to judge a poor ugly peasant's lack of fashion sense.

I know am missing out on several incidents but my main point is that Kuhu is the biggest victim in the show. Ppl watch the show to see her get justice & cheer for her when she bashes Abir & Mishti cuz it's what they deserve. All hail the queen who deserves so much more. Hope she walks out on these toxic characters & becomes the Prime Minister of this country cuz it's what we need & deserve 😌

Our writers are 'Christopher Nolan lite' creating such layered characters and we mere mortals don't even get them.

Most of time ppl don't understand what is suppose to be a grey character. Their is a fine line between grey n being pure villian.

In itv nly grey character I saw was randhir singh shekhawat from sadda haq. Dat character is a master piece n ppl who actually like grey character should watch dat series to witness how grey characterization should be written. U hate him for everything but still like him. If nly writer didn't huv dat sudden urge to sideline kunal may be he could huv been a better grey character dan d claimed one by d fans. Even if I hated him yet I would sympathize with him. Wish dey would huv explored his track , he had more interesting story dan sudden insecurity track which don't huv any head n tail. A person who have everything , pampered a lot, a complete spoilt brat had insecurity rather than a person whose whole world was shaken by one truth.

In dis show none of dem had good characterization. Tbh coming from a diehard mishbir fan.

Ofcource kunal, abir and mishti will be sidelined they don’t have what kuhu has ...

Yes absolutely.

Even you can fit meanu in the definition of grey. Her and kunal's love for abir is undeniable. Thats is the very reason we still find reasons behind their actions. Not justifying them but still understand them.

I am very upset, makers didn't explore meenu's insecurities, baba's insecurities, even kunal's insecurities to this extent though these 2 were better characters with fine intensity to be explored ...that would have been more interesting and fruitful instead...

On a side note looking at kuhu's insecurities I realise what atul must be going through right now ...he is the neglected rajvansh amongst abir n kunal , what about that?
