Actually, yes.. I did have a family member and I don't want to marry someone with a mental illness.
I don't have the energy to deal with it anymore. Its my personal choice and if people who have never been through such situations want to judge, go ahead and do it. I still stand by my decisions.
You don't have to marry them or date them or have anything to do with them. But that 'I won't do social work at my life's expense' was in poor taste. Like I asked, will you like someone saying this about you when you're at your lowest. I won't judge you if you don't judge being with mentally ill people as social work. Like I said, not everyone can take it. And that's fine. Its human and we all have a tolerance capacity. But words hold power and we should be mindful of them.

And there on one side, we write posts about being kind to people, being mindful about their mental health and on another side, persistently drag an unnecessary argument when the other person is religiously trying to avoid it.
🤓
I am outta this place because I am mindful about my mental health. I hope this is not an issue to anyone. 🤓
Wait what? I didn't know this argument was affecting you mentally, and if you religiously wanted to avoid this argument, you shouldn't have kept on replying back. How would I know? And I already said I don't practice what I preach.
Bollywood, media, politics, police, law are all toxic places. There are no friends.
You need to really toughen up to survive or it will take you down.
It is a dog eat dog world.
Humans are flawed period and hero worship is stupid
Mental illness is real but there is so much stigma around it.
People invest more in PR in Bollywood than better art, stories and music. Look at SPB, is there anyone that talented or that humble anymore

It was said in the context of someone’s reply and should be read within that particular context only. The social work comment is in reference to the view of the society with regards to women being the one to “fix” things by marrying men. When they fail, ocastrize and blame them.

In the light of Sushant's case, what is the main thing you have learnt?
For me:
Firstly, extend compassion to all. Practice empathy. Weigh your words. There is a way to criticize and that should be constructive, not destructive. Easier said than done, but I am trying to practice it more nowadays. I am not saying that I have succeeded yet, though! It's very difficult to always be kind and objective.
Secondly, filter every narrative through the prism of rationality and don't get swayed by media and PR.
Thirdly, exercise discretion more often, especially avoid hasty judgements.
What is your takeaway from Sushant's case?

The IT cell and BJP jumped into the Sushant case and started hate-mongering and witch-hunting, displaying their bigotry, hatred and intolerance which runs in their veins. It was never about Sushant, his intellect, the reasons behind his demise or about bringing justice to the departed. It was all about spreading hatred against actresses/toxic reasoning/ and Kangana jumping into the fray as a BJP stooge just accelerated this process. Politics of personal vendetta. Trying to destroy the beauty of everything which doesn't match their ideology.
Sushant was a great soul. His intellect was something BJP can never dream of. By appropriating him as their pet cause, the BJP displayed its opportunism. Sonam pointed this out in the beginning, and people just bashed her on this forum. I remember being skeptical myself. But she was so right.
It is shameful the way gullible people are falling for their tactics and politics of hate. Sushant himself would have never encouraged this. He was a man of rare intellect and BJP is anti-intellectual to the core.
I just wish more people see through Kangana and BJP's opportunism before things get late. Ionically, he is being accused of taking drugs himself. Tarnishing the reputation of the deceased is something these stooges can easily manipulate. They only care about themselves.
Kangana is the prime example of this. She is toxic to the core, and a vile, loathsome creature. She is better suited for politics than acting.
Discuss.
Honestly no one can fix anyone, it’s people’s own battles. My only problem with your comment was the remark on how mentally ill people (people included men and women not just mentally ill men) should be avoided. You’re right that it’s not the person’s responsibility to fix someone but it’s just that we need to be more thoughtful when we use certain statements for a particular section of society who already struggle through a million stereotypes and are often already excluded. It’s like saying “I don’t date a person with cancer”, sure it’s your wish not to but it’s just that we don’t need to generalise such things as it reinforces stigma about mentally ill people, it’s more of a tact problem.Originally posted by: Autumn_Rose

People should of course only date people they want to, we all have our own preference but sometimes it’s better to be more careful cos certain statements can actively hurt a vulnerable community who struggle deeply and actually aren’t even taken seriously like physical illnesses are, they have a lot of stigma and many of them already struggle through feeling like a burden or someone that people shouldn’t be with. In fact many suicidal people commit suicide when they feel that they’re a liability or that people would be better off without them in their life.
That being said, I’m sorry to hear about your family member being mentally ill. All the strength to you.
Indian media is currently at the lowest it can get

As a takeaway from the case, I merely said "being with mentally ill can destroy lives" as people don't believe in its existence? *Sarcasm but also the truth as its apparent from the case.
Where did I say they should be avoided?
How is Kangana different from Tapsee, swara, anurag, akhtars and Bhatts.
Kangana is much a late entry to what the above are already doing.... except Kangan does not have bollywood support and sounding like the only person who is vile and Lunatic.
Kangana got paid by getting her office demolished ....I dont know why everyone forgets this and supporting only Deepika .
I dont trust anyone here neither kangana nor Deepika's mental health foundation or JNU sympathy.
If kangana has an agenda so does others like Deepika. Kangana is a loud mouth ...thats the diff.
