In the light of Sushant's case, what is the main thing you have learnt?

For me:

Firstly, extend compassion to all. Practice empathy. Weigh your words. There is a way to criticize and that should be constructive, not destructive. Easier said than done, but I am trying to practice it more nowadays. I am not saying that I have succeeded yet, though! It's very difficult to always be kind and objective.

Secondly, filter every narrative through the prism of rationality and don't get swayed by media and PR.

Thirdly, exercise discretion more often, especially avoid hasty judgements.

1.Mental health is a joke in this country.

2. Media is a joke in this country.

3. Anything and everything can become election propaganda.

4. #LegaliseWeed and give some to Arnab and Republic TV. They truly need it. 'Mujhe drugs do' squad.

5. Indian public dont know how to let the dead rest in peace. I hope we can look back at this years from now and truly acknowledge how f*cked up we were as a society to treat this case the way we did.

Human beings can be hateful enough to drag a dead man through dirt, be more picky about whom I open up to because of how bad human nature can be.

As long as people don’t come to a conclusion that dating a person with mental illness is a risky thing to do, I don’t care what take aways people come up with. But I am afraid that this entire episode has pushed the mental illness scene in India back by at least 50 years.👎🏼

'Mental illness? What's that? Look at this person smiling in this picture. Does he look like he is depressed? '

I don't know how long those words and implications will haunt me.

I say this in the politest way possible, man f*ck Ankita Lokhande.

I will do my bit in trying to push it 50 years ahead. I write stories and almost always, one of my pairs has a mental illness. ⭐️
