True😆

Real pranati is sensible, impulsive but mature girl.. she brought that reyansh hiding inside that fun loving bad guy image.

Many a times, Tom and Jerry couples are more mature than expected... The pain in them makes them behave in a matured manner but one thing I miss today is Reyansh watching pranati's reaction☺️

Though she gave some reaction out of pain when he was caressing with the ointment but still he would have enjoyed it for sure.. he always did that watching her feel shy. Today he sacrificed that for her and became pure pranati ka reyansh❤️😳

Reyansh has the ability to bring the fun side of pranati too

That will be Reyansh ka pranati.. but it has a long way to go😛

Aage aur milega. Today reyansh was not in the state to witness that. He was at his lowest today. But I only wished he got a hug. I want to feel good about it so I am going to assume Jugs gave him a good night hug.

Before I being, these are just my interpretations or views of the Prayansh scene today. Please put out your perspectives wherever we might differ, always a joy to look at the same scene from different angles! Also, I know I've gone overboard and overanalysed it, so kindly ignore wherever you find it a bit over the top!

This digging is specially dedicated to the PB forum's wishing tree Parboni ❤🌳

So, here we go!

We begin with Prani trying to apply medicine to her wound and Rey walks in. The first thing that stands out is the way he calls out Pranati's name. It is unlike the normal Reyansh tone, today it was a little toned down and more warm, more personal (one to one). He was clearly there to talk to her about something, but the state in which he sees her reminds him of the exact event that caused that state.

Prani on seeing him immediately goes on to pick up her dupatta. Here again, there is a very subtle but a very powerful moment of Rey, behind her you can see him putting his head down, trying not to look at her as she adjusts her clothes. That wasn't a very Reyansh Khuranna thing to do, but he wasn't there as Reyansh Khuranna (hereafter called RK in this post), he was there as just Reyansh. So even before the whole eye closing saga, this was the first actual sign of him choosing to respect Prani and his own emotions and newfound direction.

And then we see him struttering, another first?! He tries asking her for the ointment, he goes 'wo' and then literally points his finger towards the table, the ointment and himself, hoping that she'd give it to him for him to help. Not to forget, we have had another ointment scene in the show earlier, during Armaan's wedding. There we saw him grabbing her and cornerning her against a wall, trying to heal her wound while still hurting and taunting her. But that was RK, tonight it was just Rey, the one with a newfound purpose, that is the difference.

Prani clearly hesitates but Rey doesn't leave it there, he asks her to wait, moves behind her, closes his eyes and says 'Ab toh barosa karlo' and puts out his palm waiting for her to give him the medicine. An Praniti looks on clearly shocked. This one scene is iconic for so many reasons, you can view this scene in two ways, one literally and another metaphorically. I'll just put down the methaphorical bits, He first clearly understands Prani isn't comfortable so he moves to the stance and position in which he is at his very raw or weakest self (eyes closed - blind, behind her) and puts out his hand allowing her to do what she wants to do, she can use this opportunity and trust him, to put her hand in his and guide him or she can do the exact opposite, attack. Here Rey literally presents Prani with his most honest, vulnerable, open form, trusting her enough to do the right thing. Prani places the tube on his hand, metaphorically trusting him as she stares at him, trying hard to decipher the man before her and his ways. As she lowers her dupatta, it's her turn to meet him at the same level, guard down, open to trust and presenting herself in the most open and honest form.

As Prani clutches on to her dupatta for dear life, Rey makes the first touch and guess what? Prani is affected, the touch clearly still bothers her, makes her feel them feels, invariably. As the entire scene proceeds, we don't see Praniti Mishra, rather the Prani who fell in love with Rey years ago, his every move and every touch bothering her and leaving an impact. After the entire saga, Rey doesn't immediately go back to his self, he waits, eyes closed. Prani pulls back her dupatta, gets the tube back and asks Rey to open his eyes. And then only my baby boy actually opens his eyes, every move he makes until then, made at her mercy & call and she thanks him. And he in turn thanks her back for trusting him. We've already discussed and come to realise that he wants her to trust him and today we see him put himself in an unfamiliar place to earn it and he does.

You can look at this entire scene as a romance bit and also as a trust metaphor, works both ways!

I realised sth. When Vardhaan asked,"Ye kaun lagti hai teri? Biwi hai?-nahi,Girlfriend hai?-nahi" Reyansh should've replied "Fiancee hai meri."

CVs really missed a golden opportunity to use this 'accidental' engagement that happened between them to establish that these two have a formal 'rishta'. Disappointing.💔

They have to use this 'engagement' card someday. Even though a lot of other symbolism happened like chunari falling and sindoor falling but those were subtle moments. The engagement actually happened.

Mallika isn't related to this family in any way. Phir bhi tapak padti hai as if it's her own home. In fact, even the og family members aren't shown in the Khurana Mansion as much as Mallika is shown.

Toh phir what's the problem in establishing that Pranati is Rey's fiancee?

Moving to the next part, we see Prani asking Rey answer to the question that she had asked him, he in turn answers back that he thought it was a statement (fact). While I'd like to think it was playful, Parboni pointed out that it could be how Rey thought Prani perceived him. So I guess it was a mix of both, deep down he knew that that's how she looked at him but brought it up in a playful way. You know, like some of us joke upon our own drawbacks or insecurities before someone else does it? While Prani gives back the choice to him, as to how her perceives it but looks for an answer.

First she questions him if the surname 'Khuranna' matters to him so much that what happened to her doesn't matter. Rey hangs his head down as Prani continues. She asks him the same basic question, again and again in three new versions. Essentially asking him if the Khuranna name and tag matters more than the wrongs done to her or her life. He finally lifts his head and shakes it in the negative and says 'That's why I am here'. He actually doesn't beat around the bush or try and push his image, rather he straight out tells 'I'm sorry', he apologises and even asks for her forgiveness (he says 'maaf kardo').

As he begins to speak, it sets in that whatever is coming is not just for the Vardhan drama, it is for almost everything he has done, every wrong thing that had transpired between them ever since they met. He apologises not for what Prani had to go through, but rather for his own actions, this is very important cuz this meant Rey taking responsibility of his own actions. We had seen him do it earlier in the hall but that was for what Prani had to go through, he does it again, this time around with more clarity as to what led to his behaviour and for his own actions.

You don't see a guilt ridden Rey but one who has accepted his mistakes and ready to face it with utmost honestly and in the most 'Rey way' he could. Prani is clearly surprised when he apologises, he tells her that he hasn't apologised before because it was in his life since childhood to do mistakes but never had never learnt to apologise when he was wrong because he had no one to point it out he was wrong and set him in the right direction. He points out what Prani already knows, the Khuranna family houses business partners and not family members, there are no relationships between them but only deals, they don't care for their children. These children learn to fend for themselves, they learn from what they see and make it their life path and choice as well, which they don't realise is wrong. They don't learn to differentiate between right and wrong, but now that Rey does he says 'I'm sorry'. (Slightly off topic - We see a striking similarity here with Jugs, a Khuranna child who had to fend and learn for herself but outside in the real world. She also does things both good and bad, whatever suits or serves her the best, not really understanding the difference. Seems like a family curse or something -.-)
