I saw the episode jeena isi ka naam hai where rani gave a video message and said we are going to be friends forever to aishwarya

Can someone enlighten me what happened to their friendship they seemed to be very close like besties how did the friendship get affected?

I think the entire fiasco around Chalte Chalte ruined their friendship .Aish was quickly removed from the film after Salman created a scene while the shooting was going on .Rani did not bother to inform Aishwarya that she was replacing her .Second angle is Abhishek was dating Rani whom Aish married later .

They seemed to have made up somewhat. Not friends like they use to be but at least friendly with each other when the meet.

I had no idea that Aishwarya and Preity have remained friends over the years but PZ occassionally tweets about her friendship with Ash which is sweet

Aww the 2nd pic where Ash is holding Rani is so sweet..looks like two college friends where one is shy and the other one is outgoing.

I don't think they made up. They gave each other some support when their respective fathers passed away in quick succession (if my memory serves me right). Post that, they've continued staying out of each other's lives.

Preity is a good friend of Aishwarya, but since they don't publicize their friendship so much we do not know the extent of their friendship. I saw Preity's tweet on friendship day and she put Ash the first in her best friends list. It was sweet, but I don't think Ash is that close to her. But who really knows.. Ash is a mystery.

Rani did severe damage to Aishwarya's career for 2003-2005 period. That time Rani did all films which were supposed to be Aishwarya's but Rani snatched all films from her. Aishwarya was hurt by Rani's attitude. She did Chalte Chalte which was supposed to be Aishwarya's film. Later SRK did Paheli with Rani where Aishwarya was original choice. Rani did Veer Zaara which was Aishwarya's film although she was Zaara at that time.

Vivek Oberoi in KWK show when he was dating Aishwarya, said its bad to see no big director was signing her for unknown reason. He was hinting SRK & Rani behind the scene.
