The family's lawyer says the statements were in Marathi so they don't know what they signed off on. People who track crime - won't the police have audio recordings as well of statements? I am curious...

They generally type out your statement in Marathi & later explain the meaning of every line. Last line of most police statements is that while my statement was taken in Marathi, the officer explained the contents to me.

That's a common investigation procedure and pretty sure they are following that. CBI hasn't had any official press release till date so we really don't know their actual findings.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

1. For the nth time, people, this thread is an UPDATES ONLY thread. For those who seem to disapprove of this because of the normalcy of freedom of expression on a public forum, the DT is well-aware that this is a forum and it's only logical that discussion and debates should be allowed, but in this specific case with two extreme sides, decent interactions are either barely or not happening without mocking, name-calling and personal attacks (refer to the first 10 discussion threads). Even today, while the mods haven't been here, the "No Debate" rule has been broken and we've all seen the kind of interactions that have stemmed from that. The why of this particular rule is hopefully clear to all of you.

2. Random tweets that support either Rhea Chakraborty or Sushant SIngh Rajput's family are NOT allowed. Only tweets from blue-ticked accounts and verified news portals, mostly those that will have actual news about the case, will be allowed. This case is already convoluted and there are a lot of fake news that are being spread. Repeatedly breaching this rule will result in warnings.

3. Your own comments taking digs at either sides while posting news articles and videos won't be allowed, and you will get penalized for the same.

4. While we appreciate you reporting posts that breach rules, it would be pretty cool if you didn't breach the exact same rules yourself.

5. It's necessary to repeat this: as we've already mentioned, limited discussion will be allowed - mostly queries and credible answers. Quoting to bash either sides isn't allowed - the concerned posts will be removed.

If the rules keep on getting breached, we will have to close even this updates only thread permanently. Please follow the rules and keep this thread clean, at least for the sake of the members who genuinely want to keep themselves updated with the evolution of this case.

Same feelings....this is a strange revelation for me as well.. Even I had started believing that fans across the globe were directly a part of the revolution/exercise....now it seems this was all also stage managed probably using the emotions/ funds of fans who wanted justice.....

So....now, everything can be stage managed and it is just a competition about which party/team has better abilities/connections to manage the show longer and more fruitfully... i feel so gullible today...

Dont side with anyone now...let the agencies/law decide now....based upon available data/proofs.

A life is lost. All this was destined..so happened...let the parties keep pulling those strings..i am emotionally off all this drama this point onwards...let us see what happens further without any emotional baggage.

I mean, I always assumed that those billboards were paid for. That's how advertising works in the US, someone has to pay for hoardings and billboards. You see the most random things being promoted there, hardly a benchmark for anything.

I always assumed it was his family that paid for those billboards, but rolled my eyes when they made it seem like it was some kind of independent revolution. At least be transparent. What I didn't know was that she took money from "donors". I'm assuming the Bay Area community where she's from probably made donations in his support.
