I’ve been meaning to watch that movie for a long time

Whenever great performance by female BW actors is discussed they always mention Nargis in Mother India

SriDevi in chandini. My god. Her performance is still cemented in my head. She goes from being super bubbly to complete womanhood from being rejected. She practically owns the entire screen.

It’s Rekha in Umrao Jaan!! And Rekha is the best actress of Indian cinema. Don’t bring her personal life in middle please✋

Priyanka in Barfi, Kashibai, 7 Khoon Maaf, Aitraaz

Vahida Rehman in Khamoshi..

Sridevi - countless movies , but she is number one for me. I remember when I saw Ev and Mom ... sometimes I’d watch a scene be like wow.... this one scene is better than some actresses entire career!

Others I’ve enjoyed

- Karishma - Fiza, Zubeidaa and more

- Aishwarya - Hddcs, Devdas, Raincoat

- Rani - Black, Hichki

- Vidya - Kahaani, TDP, BB

- Kangana - Fashion, Queen, TWMR

- Priyanka - Fashion, Mary Kom , Barfi

According to me these were pathbreaking performances that really stand out compared to everyone else.

Kareena - heroine, chameli

Rani - black, mardaani 1&2

Kajol - my name is khan

( provoked isnt a bollywood movie but still Aishwarya was amazing in it)
