VEHEMENT LOVE CH2 :
The sunrays fell on her face, she twitched in her sleep, her cheeks were full of dried tears and her head was resting on the bed, She had cried all night retrospecting everything she did, and she slept in the wee hours of the morning.
"Ridhhima! Riddhima beta" her sleep was disturbed by dadi calling her, she slowly opened her eyes and looked around, slowly coming on terms with reality, she looked around everything was pretty much as they were when Vansh left. So he didn't come back to the room? Where was he all night? Is he okay? She thought all the scenarios that could've happened but wasn't sure of any one, considering how unpredictable Vansh was.
"Riddhima?" Dadi called her out of her thoughts. She quicky stood up and went towards the door, "Yes Dadi, Good morning, I was about to come downstairs, I actually, I overslept" she faked a smile
"Oho! It's okay beta, go and freshen your self and come.down to have breakfast, today Vansh has ordered to make a lavish breakfast"
"Lavish breakfast? why Dadi, where is he?" She couldn't hide her curiosity
"Arey beta, wo remember the inspector that came over that day? He is coming today to meet him regarding something, I hope it turns out to be well" Dadi Sighed leaving ridhhima shocked and sweaty. What was he planning? What is his motive? Why did he invite him? Will he do something bad to him? Will he expose us both in front of the family? Does he think I still love him? She was biting her lip, her hand rested on her forehead.
"Riddhima beta, I'm going you come down fast" and dadi left.
Riddhima took a quick shower, wore a yellow and red salwar kameez and put on her dupatta to ran downstairs, she couldn't make out why Vansh is doing what he is doing, running down he heard him, Kabir, he was saying something inaudible to her but she could make out it was him. Her pace slowed and restlessly she walked the rest of the distance to the Dining table.
"Hey wifey, come here" His coarse voice reached her ears, sending shivers down her spine, she bit her lip and went towards him.
"Where have you been? Heard you overslept? Sia giggled eyeing her bhabhi.
"If I remember last night she wouldn't even let Vansh finish his dinner and dragged him to... TAAAALK, ab baate krne se to bhyi neend jaldi ati h, der Tak sone ka Kya raz ho skta h Sia?" Chachi teased them (talking makes you sleep early, but what makes you sleep for long, Sia?)
"Pata Ni Chachi, ye to bhabhi he btaengi ya bhaiyaaaa bhi Bata skte h" (I don't know, either Bhai or bhabhi can answer that) Sia shrugged her shoulders and laughed.
"Ahem ahem" Kabir coughed trying hard to maintain the facade. Vansh's eyes were constantly on him, trying to read his reactions.
"Sia, jab tumhari shadi hogi tab dhund Lena sare jawab" Vansh turned to look at his wife, it's been a few hours and dark hours of night since he saw her last, confessing her crimes, her betrayal, her hurt. He had been surprisingly silent all night, sitting in his study, gulping down the wine. He thought a lot about what she said and as much as his heart urged him to believe her and trust her, his mind knew she wasn't lying about anything, he was hurt but he had a sense of satisfaction, because even though it has been too late she came to him and told him the truth, why? Does she like him now? Or is it simply because she's too righteous and wouldn't support wrong? What about Kabir, was she honest when she said she didn't love him anymore, is one day of realisation enough to wipe off love? Because if it is, why isn't he throwing her out and why is he still as much in love with her? What?
"Oh my God, I will probably go mad thinking about all this, I must do something to clear my doubts, how will I know if he is important to her? Kabir I will rip you apart, you son of a.. " he stopped Midway, he knew who Kabir was, he always had a doubt about his step brother, he had vague memories of him, they were little kids when one day his dad told him her mother and brother met with an accident. He sighed and decided something as he closed his eyes and sleep engulfed him, tomorrow was a big day.
Present :
"Inspector Kabir, this is my better half, my legally wedded wife, oh you both already know each other right?" He said and looked at Riddhima who was shocked and stared at him
"What? Mr. Vansh.." Kabir was cut by Vansh "I mean, remember the day you came to arrest me, we were newly married, although we are still newly married, right sweetheart?" Vansh took her hands and pecked them and winked at her, something that not only made her skip a beat but the rest of the family too looked at them in awe, Dadi was happiest of all, finally everything was resolving between them.
"Oh, oh yes, umm anyway, the offer you made, I need to think about it for sometime" Kabir answered looking at ridhhima's hand etwined with her husband's , he was burning but couldn't show it, he had a mission to complete which was much important than his love for her.
"Take your time Kabir, good things take time, like take me and my wife, who thought people who once wouldn't look at each other would only look at each other but time make things better" he looked at her lovingly while caressing her fingers with his thumb.
"Right love?"
"Right, Vansh" She said in an instant looking at him, she has been with him for 5 months but it was like she knew him since forever, every tactic of his, though his acts were still spontaneous but still she could tell what he was up to this time, He craved for loyalty, and he still doesn't believe her.
"sit beta, have some parathas" Dadi smiled at her.
Ridhhima sat beside Vansh, his eyes following her every movement. They had breakfast, the whole time Kabir was looking at both of them, their proximity bothering him, it didn't look forced either, what was going on? Meanwhile Ridhhima not once spared him a glance, as if she knew if she even looked at him accidentally, either she will explode or the man sitting beside her will.
"So Mr. Kabir, who's the lucky girl?" Vansh faked a smile
"Huh?"
"Oh, I mean the ring on your finger tells me you must have someone in your life" he pointed at the ring in his finger.
"Ah yes, it's, it's actually.. it's a long story" Kabir stammered.
"I am all ears" Vansh coldly replied.
"Actually, my fiance, she's posted in a secluded area..She's on a dangerous mission..Its been a while we have met.. so"
"That's not such a long Story though, but okay, I must say you're strong enough to let her go alone on a dangerous mission, I mean I can't even let Ridhhima shower alone, what if she slips?" Vansh said it so seriously that eyeballs popped out of her socket and she looked at him with her mouth wide open.. the rest of the family either giggled or were amused at his sudden Romantic form..
"Vansh bhai, Kya bole ja re ho, parathe m kuch Mila tha Kya?" Ishani hissed.
"Vansh Seriously, stop it" Riddhima whispered but no one failed to notice the cherry red cheeks of their bahu. She just sat there looking down at her plate, playing with the spoon hoping the earth would open up and swallow her. She didn't care about Kabir, it wasn't one of her concern but Vansh was making her embarrassed and also the fact that she would now always remember this while she showered, Alone.
Hi you all, I am so glad you like the previous post. I am taking it slow, and it's going to have twists and turns with dose of riansh. I hope you all like it.
oh my god that was too adorable and hilarious to handle. I expected something violent and impulsive but you gave gave something totally unexpected, the way vansh was teasing Riddhima was too cute even if he was doing with some intention. too curious to know what will happen next. please please update soonish could not wait or the next part.
